Hollywood sure does know how to kill a good movie. The first Punisher was a solid movie. It had a real story behind it, it was serious at times, yet even had some funny parts. The second Punisher was just some dude raging out and running around killing people because Hollywood absolutely murdered it with their crazy special effects and last action hero technique.

edit: shouldn't have said the first Punisher since that was in 1989. The first one I am referencing is the 2004 film.

Just don't respond, it's not even worth it. When you read an obnoxiously stupid comment, just click over to see what team they GM and if they have that team on their GM list, don't bother.

FWIW Boondock Saints is completely unoriginal and not profound in the least. At best, it's a funny-for-some, moderately racist, Irish-centric, Faux-mystery action movie.

It's interesting that someone brought up the Punisher, because Boondock Saints blatantly plagiarizes this series, among other things.

It kind of does. But it was still a great movie. If it wasn't a great movie, it would have never generated the following it did despite only opening in 5 theaters and going straight to video.

Not really. It was released in 15 other countries, and 5 of them before the US. The only reason it had a limited initial release in the US is that no one anywhere else liked it.

It doesn't take much to entertain the violence-lust in the good ole USA!

When the original Funny Games was released, it was made as a parody of blood-lust in American film. It was meant to be unwatchable. Of course, when the American version of the movie came out, that level of irony was removed because Americans actually liked the movie.

I dunno. I though Serious Man was cool and pretty well done.

I actually like a very wide variety of movies. Most recent movies I have been watching have all been horror/scary films since its October and thats what comes out a lot around this time.

Paranormal Activity - Considering the budget, the movie is actually pretty well done. If you can get by the drawn out boring parts of the movie, its pretty worth it imo.

The Orphan - Reminds me of the Good Son with McCaulley Caulkin (Spelling?) with a twist. I recommend this one actually. It does seem long tho.

Trick or Treat - I feel like this could have been a decent movie. However, the plot is highly LOL and its all over the place. It almost has the feel like the directors had something going and thought...shit im bored...lets just end this shit somehow.

Drag Me To Hell - Can't believe the money I wasted on renting this video. Not only did it look terrible on the preview, but it was even worse watching. Some of the chicks comments tho were incredibly cheesy, but hilarious.

was that pretty good? I wasn't sure what to think about it from the preview however considering the director, it has to be somewhat decent I would imagine.
