That was brutal. Unfortunately I'm finding out just how damn tough this league can be when you don't really have that much time to spend on the game.

Things were easy when I worked night shift and had tons of time after 3am to scout, plan, etc etc. Now I work days 7am-7pm and the last thing I really want to do when I get home is sit in front of a computer.

Real life can be a pain in the ass sometimes

what's interesting is that...we had (and still do) to some degree, the same problem. I was the DC, and wsdp was the OC for a long time. Work got crazy for both of us and didn't have the time to do anything. @ftermath and ijg stepped in to take over and were very new to it all.

We finally got to the point were we had to bring in someone from outside the original agents to work on something none of us had time to do. Hence the recent turn around. Interesting that by bringing in a new DC and revamping the offense will turn a 7 seed into the armpit of your life lawldawg. The moment we brought in a new DC is when we started winning again. Which happened to be very late in season 9. So for 2 plus seasons...we pretty much did nothing. Due to the exact same issue that you are experiencing now.

This isn't validating us being in Pro. But it's no coincidence that making those changes to the front office did a 180 to our results in AAA last year. Had we made the changes before season 9 started....maybe we could have been a more "worthy" promotion by winning more regular season games. Maybe we should have made the change after season 7.

That being said, I do feel your pain. It happens at some point for everybody.

I tried nicely explaining this to lawl when the promotions first happened, not realizing at the time he was a troll, but he preferred to get out his flame thrower instead. That's OK though. It helped motivate us to try a little harder this season.

I would suggest, for the most part, the majority of teams in any AAA or Pro are close enough to their peers in talent that if you gave them all the same AI, most of the teams would fall between 6-10 and 10-6. It's the preparation that makes most of the difference between the top tier and the bottom tier, imo.

I don't see it getting any better either. Now I hear hints of bringing guys in motion, etc etc. Unfortunately this game is like crack for all of us and we always clamor for more, more, and more put into the game. Not realizing just how much more time all of these things are going to require in order to be successful.

I agree, though despite the numbers I'd argue our defense is relatively close to being successful. 23 turnovers in 5 games on offense doesn't help ppg very much.

But ya, obviously the way we've been playing on defense isn't going to cut it...

GG Cincy, you guys are just too talented. I really think it'd take a miracle to beat you guys even with the perfect tactics. That said 5 short feild goals early killed us. We convert those to TD's and we are up big at half and have a chance. The downward spiral of confidence at the end of the game when we started going for on 4th really shows your talent, being able to pick up a quick 17 points like that.
