Honestly, I think giving free flex to the whales is just good business. I also don't have a problem with the private forums. I'm not stupid enough to believe they had little/no value to those who were a part of them though.
Huh? I said exactly what they got out of the high roller forum in my post.

They got to know what Catch was working on to present to Bort. They got to discuss those things and possibly sway Catch's mind if there were some good ideas. (Remember that everything still had to go through Bort at the end of the day). Basically it was sort of a suggestion thread from a group of guys who were big spenders on the game.
The value they got from that forum was a better ear to catch on the projects he was working on for GLB. They got information about upcoming changes a couple days prior to the information being finalized and shared to all of GLB. The information gained really wasn't anything that was going to give them any gain on the general population as the offseason is the offseason. I still have quotes from all info gained from it if you want to refute me on it.
What they applied from that and what they would apply from the other quote TK gave of mine are 2 highly different things. One is a distinct advantage based on money. The other is a nice gesture made to those giving a lot of money.
I am not sure about the preferential forum treatment to those with money though. The moderators have never been let in on that secret and dpride has certainly been banned a number of times. Maybe a perma thing? I don't know.
