I mean, I'm sure your team is an above-average collection of dots, and good on ya for that, but who really knows you guys?

So tell you what, you keep flailing around GLB talking about how good the Charleston Chews are, and as long as you keep spelling our name right and help build our reputation to where new people have an opinion of us before even seeing us, we've got no problem with you whatsoever.

The reasons we unaccepted the invite to the tournament are well documented. You can believe they aren't true. You can assign your own meaning to it if you want. Your delusions are not my concern.

Now, if I were the owner of a team that was scheduled to play another team that later stepped away from a tournament but would liked to have played them anyway, my reply would have gone something like:

"You guys backed out of the tournament? That sucks. I really wanted to play you guys. What do you say we schedule a friendly sometime this season just to see what would have happened if you had stuck around?"

Just that smidgeon of respect probably would have gotten it done. My guess is your request was laden with a lot of false assumptions, accusations, and general bitchiness and whining. Now your lack of people skills is somehow our problem.

You know what? I'm rooting for you guys. I hope you win the whatever-league title. I really want you to make it to WL in season 12. And when you get promoted, I hope you end up in the other conference. That way, you'll be in the World League, but the whole experience will be tainted for you by the fact that you still don't get to play the Kai.

And everyone will be laughing at you that much more.

do you honestly think that fools anyone? you guys back out of the tournament after the matchups were posted and everyone knows why... and it's not like you haven't done this before. in fact that is your reputation.

no one is fooled by your empty talk. no one is surprised when you back away from challenges, blame losses on token-boosting, or try to pretend like your single tarnished trophy doesn't embarrass you. and i like how you just admitted that you won't be making the playoffs in WL. i wouldn't be surprised if you were demoted.

and for the record, i wasn't the one that sent the challenge, nor i have really ever interacted with any of you until just recently. moreover, i certainly didn't put a gun to your head and force you to join the tournament you later backed out of.
