I don't care at all about admin multis. The fact that Deathblade was an admin is practically irrelevant to me. At least he was around and posting, keeping the forums active. Far more than can be said for Pallow or DD or almost any of the admins.
I also don't care that favoritism is shown in the forums to big spenders and I only started buying a lot of flex in the last year or two. Come on guys that is how the world works. Politics, stockholders/investors, casinos, whatever the people with more money are shown favoritism.
I do care that about how DD has acted in this thread and over the course of this game, as well as the admin response to this and all past digressions. You guys have been nowhere to be seen for 5 years, which by the way, is part of the reason that Catch's posts are so believable. When you have evidence that supports a claim then you have more credence to believe in it and it isn't just "something you read on the internet." Now you come back to make jokes, act like a jackass, make a laughably dismissive announcement, and pretty much confirm any suspicions that people had. The most notable of which for me being that the biggest mistake in GLB was Bort hiring you and Pallow and most of the other admins.
I will continue to play with the flex I have, but you can keep your hands out of my wallet.
It's not about the multis. It's not about favoritism. It's about treating your customers right and giving them a RESPECTFUL answer to their questions.
Neither the site announcement, nor the personal responses by admins (mostly DD) in this topic have been anything resembling respectful. One word/number answers, links to .gifs of smileys, and selectively responding to posts about beer and bacon, instead of legitimate questions, is not respectful. Neither is posting links to CONSPIRACY GENERATOR. That's about the same level of attitude and condescension as linking someone to "LetMeGoogleThatForYou.com"
I understand that there's no such thing as "free speech" when you're running an online business. Admins have the right to delete anything they want... but that doesn't mean it's the RIGHT approach.
We are not just customers. We are regular people. Whether it's the government, your boss at work, or a sports forum, normal people appreciate honesty. They appreciate transparency and professionalism. They appreciate it when their friend screws up and APOLOGIZES.
It looks like DD is not interested in treating us like people. We are just $$$ signs.
