chicken and the egg. is the game unprofitable because it gets no attention or does the game get no attention because its unprofitable. whats real the cost here, running servers? paying family and friends pennies to admin? maybe they shouldn't flow money earned in glb1 to other games development and call glb1 unprofitable. in every business ive ever worked in we used revenue to keep the product current.
right, and that was the point of what i said a few days ago. at some point they chose to limit the games revenue productivity and now are effectively saying there is no chance at a comeback.
What is ironic is that I would imagine the vast amount of things that could have been added to this game, and would be welcomed additions, were never added. Every time items were brought up in discussions typical to this, they were dismissed as not worth the time because they would not improve anything. So as it turns out they decided to do nothing, which really provides more indication that its not that they didn't think the suggestions would help improve the game, because you would imagine something would have to be done rather than nothing, but that they for whatever reason had no further interest in developing the game. (IMO its because they wanted to replace GLB1 with GLB2 but botched that as well. At least in terms of converting the majority of long standing GLB1 agents to GLB2 which I think is evident by the amount of general disdain towards GLB2 and that although dwindling, there are still agents playing GLB1 instead of the new "improved" glb2. I believe that if GLB2 could hold its own weight vs GLB1 you would be seeing people leaving GLB1 very quickly instead of continuing to invest money or old flex into a game that might not be around by the time your new players hit plateau)
