Taking it out of Beta certainly didn't mean it had to be abandoned. I also don't think the stable sim has much to do with the site's demise, as the sim is pretty good.

The stagnancy of it sure as hell ain't helping. Would be even worse if the new plays didn't give a little flavor to some ideas. But predicting the games rapid demise prior to leaving beta was just nonsense.

It was inevitable when sudden changes to the game were made even though many GLB veterans were against it.

While it didnt mean it had to be "abandoned", it did mean that it was no longer really possible to push through any "big" changes, without a loss of face.

I agree that the current sim itself is pretty good, but the continual tweaking of the sim and the occasional BIG change to the overall game (eg archetypes) hid the fact that the player building process is overly drawn out.

The userbase between both games is up by about 30-40%, and continues to go up.

Not sure I'd go with utter disaster.

well good then, id like to see dotball survive.

You really had something with GLB1. Not so much with lol2, but if it can help support it, then great.

GLB2 has nowhere to go but up right now. It's a new game.

As for GLB1, I don't care about the userbase increasing. My brother could create a new account today and never sign on ever again, and it would still make the userbase increase by 1. That stat is meaningless.

I want to know if GLB1's active userbase is increasing. And with the number of new Rookie dots continuing to decline, I'm guessing the answer to that is no, no it's not.

Counting multis was always silly. Flex purchases are what matter, so is revenue up or down?

Revenue is up?

What are people spending their Flex on? 'Coz they're sure not spending it on new Rookie dots for GLB1.
