Not unless everyone can see it.

So what if Pallow posts twice?

Double the irrelevancy or is relevance achieved?

this is the formula

Relevance = (100*(your current personal relevancy factor) - (number of Pallow posts)*((Pallow Posting coefficient)^(# of Pallow posts)))

So zero posts = no reduction of your relevancy

The Pallow Posting coefficient is a positive number and is > 1, so the more he posts, the less relevant you are as your thread could not be relevant on its own so he had to help you out

I'll need to double check with Bort but that sounds about right.

I made an edit to what you quoted so re-check that one - kthanx

Is this why you make so many threads

I don't create many threads - I tend to post in other people's

So why are you raising

(100) x (relevancy) - (# of Pallow posts) x (Pallow posting coefficient)

to the number of Pallow's posts? It's the same variable you are taking away from 100 times your relevancy.

let us say you have a relevancy of 5

and Pallow has a posting coefficient of 10

and he posted 3 times in your thread

100x5 - 3(10)^3

500 - 3000 = -2500

you can see the huge hit you could take with multiple Pallow posts

but like many other things in this game, those coefficients are known only to Bort and the inner circle

I hear you.

But it would make sense to take one of the (# of Pallow's posts) out just because you are taking it away and then adding it back on later in the equation.

Also, how does the relevancy scale work? Is it an inner-circle thing?

I only had 1 in the original equation, which was

Relevance = (100*(your current personal relevancy factor) - (Pallow Posting coefficient)^(# of Pallow posts))

but if Pallow does not post, something would still get reduced

100 x 5 - 10^0 would be the equation

500 - 1 = 499, so every thread would always have the Pallow coefficient taken away

and the more he posts, the more he had to clarify, etc., the worse the thread in exponential measures

as far as the relevance of scale works, I don't know the numbers, but I would think it would be in this order

Bort
Catch 22
Pallow
(any other admin)
Ellis Bell
Digital Daggers

I think there is also a snarkiness factor added in when DD posts and Bort's is more random so perhaps the equation is also a little different for others
