Simming a player build is a great way to try out lots of different options to see what is optimal. It is already happening, but it's clunky and tedious. Nobody is forced to use it. If you don't want to...don't.


Because it would be the exact same process as leveling Bort already has the code to make a pretty smooth player builder.

Bort has more important things to do than to make something we already have.

Player builder doesn't design the dots for you. It just allows you to see how different training methods would effect your dot. You still have to do all the work and come up with the plans on your own.

Once again, the ability already exists.

All you need is to install greasemonkey and use this script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/81861


You simply run through the entire build process in a matter of minutes to find out what your build will look like at level 73 if you follow your build plan. Then you can see if your dot will be competitive before you spend 4,300 - 10,900 flex on it.

It's also not going to be exact, it just gives you a base idea of what the build will look like.

How is everyone going to be the same? Not everyone has the same thought process, and builder doesn't build the dots for you, it just allows you to see what your end build will look like following your build plan.

i love the "training breakthroughs" because it does help keep every1 from having the same exact build and build plan. it gives people a reason to pay attention to their dot and adjust accordingly. there should be more things like it to keep every1 from having a "cookie cutter build"

Click the changelog. Now tell me how many times you see the word "fix". Anytime something is added it takes away time that could be sent on improving/fixing existing facets of the game.


Having the VPB within the site is not a terrible idea, but the GM version has been there for awhile now so I really don't think it would have the impact that some in this thread think.
