We've built stellar dots, have pretty solid game planning, etc. Yet we get blown out by teams that we should be able to at least hang with all day. TKW, Rampage...... both blow-out losses where we looked like a 69 bar team when in fact we are considerably higher bars than Buffalo and at the very least equal to TKW on paper. And the Buffalo Knights...... WTF was that all about?!? I don't ever expect to win every game at this level by any means, but it is the WAY we are losing games that is just ghey. I could live with a 30-20 loss to TKW since that is about how I feel about our team....... we might not win the games against tougher competition, but FFS we should be able to hang with you guys for most of the day at least.
And so we'll continue to struggle next season...... by struggle I mean that we'll beat the shit out of lesser teams and prb have an 11+ win season only to be disappointed once again in the post season & be stuck here in fucking SEA until we gut. Fwiw, we shouldn't even FUCKING BE HERE in SEA (I might even argue that there shouldn't even BE and SEA league in an American MMO, but that is a completely different argument altogether).
This game has clearly become "exploit of the week" and its getting really pretty old. On every sack that you guys had today (10), our OTs blocked down inside to double team, and let either the DE or LB come free at the QB. Trust me when I say that we also have some of the best built OTs in the game that I've seen (I'll even give you a lolGM to confirm that if you want)....... should have NEVER happened, but....... I can only hope that the new fix to the DPC will eliminate some of those exploits and real football logic might come back to GLB in some way, but I hold out little hope that people wont find new exploits to game the system versus trying or being FORCED to play straight up the way it should be. So every "fix" will require a new fix, and this same BS will be going on for seasons to come, only in a different form.
I could go on a huge rant about my 19 season's experience here........ trust me, if you guys were in my shoes you would have rage quit AGES ago. I keep trying to put up the good fight because I like all of the people I've come to know in this game & I have a duty to the guys on our team, but it's really all for nothing when we get sim-fucked or exploited FTL in the games that truly matter.
So, with all of this in mind, I don't think I'll personally be game planning for any games from here on out. I can just ride out the season and NOT waste hours every day trying to put our best foot forward only to lose anyways....... so, I'll just say GG to all from here on out in the games we have left. If you lose to us, its completely on you because we'll be pretty transparent from here on out.
Man, walls of text like that is something I normally do. I hear the frustration. There is plenty of it to go around as very few teams can just run through and beat everybody. I remember being in your shoes in the past when I thought a team we had was really good and should play with anybody only to get creamed by a few elite teams each season. That was before "getting over the edge".....
And what I mean by that is.... Putting all the pieces together completely in every aspect.... 55 great builds, with smart SA, equip, and VAs that all work together with what the OC or DC is trying to do. Specialize your dots for specific situations. Think outside of the box. Experiment. Also, we are lucky to have an OC and DC who knows the players in the system and is familiar enough with their strengths and best use in their system. It's not good enough to just have good dots with good bars. That will get you 10 wins. I agree it might sound cliche or confusing, but that's what I mean. Actually the radio show last night was about just that... Might be worth a listen.
As far as the exploits go. It's beatable for sure. I havnt watched our game closely but you guys got behind and were throwing a ton and we were rushing the passer that it's a passing situation. Tough spot to be in. I will agree that blocking logic should be better and it's being worked on now. That's more important than the new DPC. The DPC doesn't make O-Liners act retarded. That's the blocking code. But that's a whole other argument for GLB main.
Anyways.... GG and def hope to see you guys finish strong. Have some fun. Only one gold trophy so there's always going to be some dissapointed teams out there.
