Guys. Srsly. Stop going back and forth. No one's going to change their mind, and quite frankly, we're all agreed on the same thing already. You're just not paying attention.

I think he's saying that it's difficult to define what is appropriate for the forum (besides pr0n & user attacks, etc).

DB no reason to go over board...But it is a fine line between clever and stupid and some times it gets a bit stupid.

Is there? I would say there's a definite blurry line / gray area between them. If you're trying to classify everything as ever clever or stupid, you're defeated before you even begin.

Gart I thought you would get the Spinal Tap Reference....

No, it's fucking useless because he's not even arguing my opinion. He's ignoring it completely and posting the same crap over and over again probably trying to troll me which shouldn't be what a mod is doing. I wish people here were at least mature enough to avoid conversations they don't want to be apart of, if you don't want to be apart of serious dot talk...avoid it, why do people have to go in there and spam it? I don't mind joke threads, I enjoy them but why should I never get to enjoy serious threads either? I'm NOT calling for all joke threads to be deleted, I'm just calling for less spam threads and less people having troll every thread.

Okay, let's classify posts this way instead

fuedelish-posts
nonfuedelish-posts

There's more fuedelish posts, than there are non-fuedelish posts.

Really? I'm not the one asking for change. I'm not asking for threads that I don't enjoy to be deleted. I'm not locking threads I don't enjoy.

The 3 supersrsdot teams are all pissed off that they have to scroll down 2 inches to find the highly intriguing threads, and want any other threads locked/deleted instead.

Asking for other "styles" to be locked or deleted is squelching people...leaving all styles open isn't.

But there are some things that really don't need to be here. DB you have to admit that.

No, people are pissed off that every serious conversation is derailed and trolled.

I think that was a futile effort

It's really not that difficult to define...Oregon Octopi imo for example is not appropriate for this forum. I don't have a problem with joke threads, I have a problem with pure spam threads and people trolling and spamming serious threads because they don't like them.

For the most part, I think JG is correct in this assessment. The Unfortunate part is that the Mod Hammer is currently being shipped in and that has far more potential for harm than good, I'm afraid.

Let people create joke threads, it would suck if all threads were srs.

Let the people create dot threads. Troll the people in the dot threads you get warned/banned.

Once season starts, the dot threads will come. And hopefully this forum has a healthy balance of the 2 main types of threads.

Because Octopi are not in WL? I get what you're saying, but it's a gray line here. People on non-WL teams cannot make threads about their teams?
