Maybe if the Stockholm Cheeseballs can get past A Team Of Cheese And Fire, they will revert back to being the Meatballs. But until then expect more of the same.

I just want a full game of 100% Strong I Slam on every down, including 4th down. No FG's. Nothing.

Vs

Goal Line D.

If teams are going to be cheesey to each other - have the courtesy to take it to the nth degree.

I d like to test that on our next scrimmage juste for curiosity .

The point isn't just that goal line D doesn't consistently stop the strong I slam. It's also that you get absolutely shredded by any pass out of strong I while using it.

Lyon ran goal line every play in the link I sent you, and just like I posted in tpat's thread, tiffany averaged 4 ypc on 63 carries and went 12/12 passing with a 20 YPA.

Goal line isn't the solution, no defense is.

The main point is that there's no defense that absolutely shuts down the strong I slam. It'd be one thing if I, as a DC, had the chance to sell out every play to absolutely shut down strong I slam, but leave me vulnerable to some passes. But there's no such play. The best I can do is run defenses that'll get me 3-3.5 YPC if I'm lucky, and still not be able to defend certain passes out of the same formation. That's not gameplanning or fun, it's just lame.

As stated - I'm not on about a solution. And I specifically stated that it should be Strong I slam on EVERY down, no passing allowed.

I want both teams to cheese each other 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th down and play 1 agreed defensive formation.

I'd actually like to see that as well. The conference championship game will be close.

You sure you did your homework on this one?

Yes, you should have kicked (and probably got) a FG. No, you didn't have time after the 1 yard gain to play it so there's only two options:
1. you have an AI entry at 1st down at 0.16 to end of half that overrides your FG attempt
2. you don't and the play call you should have used to gain you the time to change your FG team onto the field didn't work, probably because you have an AI entry at 1st down at 0.16 to end of half that overrides the "stop the clock" entry in your AI.

I've seen too many recent examples of tight AI play-call building to believe anything else.

That apart, the game was very close and we had fun with our passing plays. Pity we're going to have to take them all out against Mal.

I think you miss the point that we had 3 timeouts and none timeout was called not after the first play and not ofter the 2nd.

AI is set to kick with under 19 seconds left with no timeouts but due to the fact that we had 3 timeouts we run another play and once again the AI donīt call a timeout (he still had 3 timeouts left). Without timeouts we will kick with under 35 seconds left.

Agreed, timeouts are completely random but you do know that you can stop the clock in your AI, don't you?

Timeouts have very little to do with it.

We screwed up against BFM in the regular season not kicking a FG for the tie at the end and I was convinced that it wasn't the AI. Turned out it was indeed a preceeding AI entry that overrode our end of half FG options.

Why would you take the chance that the SIM wouldn't run all three timeouts in your AI? You've probably seen times when it has run none, one or two and not the full three. You are suggesting that your AI is based on the SIM not screwing you on a bug that was known for a couple of seasons.

There's gaping hoples in our AI I know, but, since BFM, not kicking a FG in the dying seconds hopefully isn't one of them.
