You know, it had me going when I first read it, but anyone who posted after about Page 2 calling the OP out should be pretty ashamed. It shows they didn't read the posts from those who figured out the joke.

I mean, I admit, had I posted before people caught the Patriots' connection I'd have fallen for it too and flamed the OP. I'm just talking about those who posted after the joke was revealed and explained.

The initial post in this thread might be the best IQ test ever invented.

For the record, 95% of GLB failed it, and I didn't think it was possible to fail an IQ test.

You deserve a lot of credit if you saw through it; but I'm not ashamed that I fell for it until seeing other posts.

It looks (and I'm sure the OP intended this) very much like a real conspiracy theorist post.

Of course, it's the opposite, basically showing how exactly the same things conspiracy theorists use to claim GLB is fixed could have been said about the real life Super Bowl.

Credit where credit is due to those who figured it out without reading the other comments.

But the only ones who should feel embarrassed are those who didn't even read the other posts to find out it was a joke but posted anyway (any posts later than the one noting, "It's even signed Bill B!")

Those people showed they respond to OPs without even skimming the thread.

Yeah, you're way off on this one. When one sees A --> B 9 times, and sees A a 10th time, it's no indication of intelligence NOT to assume B. If anything, the IQ test analogy would dictate in favor of the people who didn't bother to read the post.
