Reprogram it from start to finish.... Remove VAs from the game or lower the max per slot to 10. As it stands 15 in one slot is too much I feel and it's just way too difficult to balance a sim that is based on a rolling chance system if the dots are designed to specifically get INTs and FF. I mean I know it's not supposed to be a realistic sim but it could also be the order of roll progression that is the issue. If a dot rolls for a INT before the player has a chance to catch it, then it's always designed in the defenders favor and should be more equal based on position.

For example of an issue that I see would be when you have 2 close route patterns where the defender is in man coverage versus the WR. The QB throws the ball and you get picked off by a CB that just suddenly comes off his route that was covered well to make a pick on that 2nd route being run when he couldn't have even seen the ball as he's watching the WR and covering the WR in their route. The pathing AI is just not optimal and deeply hurts the QB rolling to pass as the CB has eyes in back of his head and the QB gets hosed. .

I've read some good suggestions, unfortunately the game is dying and nothing will be addressed.
Interest for me is at a all time low. I give it one more season before I'm out of here.
Commitments and my word to other agents are what keeps me going unless I would have left a few seasons ago.
What a shame you can't find that in society as whole anymore.

GLB2 forums are alive and well? What planet is that occurring on? GLB2 is a ghost town, cant even find a team to join over there, finally just retired all my dots, gave up ownership of a team, even retired my free dot, it is pointless over there, its a #%)@ mess and has been from the start.

As to here, NEVER allow insta dots.... the build process and growing your dot is what makes it interesting. I think the fact that it takes to time to reach 79 is great, it should be a process. Every game along the way is important, nothing any more interesting about WL then there is about the dots playing their first game in the lowest league. They all matter, always have, and always will. Those that say differently are just being GLB WL snobs. Been there, done that, nothing any different about it then any other stop along the way.

GLB needs new blood, and it needs a decent manual for those who want to get in and participate. Advertising and a comprehensive updated user manual would work wonders.

People are leaving in droves EVERY single off-season because it takes WAAAY to long to develop a dot and off-seasons being over 2 weeks longs too never helped. The "feeder" leagues are shrinking beyond belief, and if you cut the head off the Pro's/WL, than is lights out GLB. Have fun with a General GLB forum if that is all that floats your boat.

"Insta dots" maybe the ONLY remedy that will offset the inevitable in more than 2 seasons from now....Its an ABSOLUTE fact, get your head out of your delusional ass Tibbar if you think the minors is where its at. The ratio of teams recruiting in the plft in Pro vs minors is 10vs1 and the forum activity pretty much anywhere is more than enough proof of a death certificate!!

I don't even play in the WLsnob league fwiw.

So the long offseason is what drives people off and the solution is to make instant dots available?

If you dont even count the HUGE number of "CPU" teams in every single league except WL and Casual Pro, you still get dozens and dozens of teams like this:

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1428

Human owned but empty. .......more than i care to count.

If i had an hour and a good script that showed league roster number totals, i would bet there is VERY, very few leagues left in GLB that have at least a 30+ man roster owned by humans for all 32 teams in a single league of its own outside of WL. Not even Casual Pro has 32 teams with a minimum 30 man roster of humans for crying out loud!

Every league I'm in is always awesome. You all must be doing something wrong.

What??? I said it doesn't help, please re-read.

People say "but i need time to recruit", bull crap, agents of players will decide twice as fast to join, its a non-issue if the offseason was shorter. Offseason of 4 days and than a preseason of just 4 preseason games in a row would ease the boredom a bit. At least it keeps things interesting when this would create an 8 day break instead.

I don't know why we need 4 preseason games, tbh. I was against the move from 2 to 4 in the first place citing the offseason was too long and boring and would drive away users way back when. It's not like teams would have an advantage back when the sim changed anyway since everyone had 2 games.

That is a very good point actually. Without a changing sim, we only need 2 pre-season games to test coupled with the 2 freebie scrimmage credits too test too. The whole length between seasons can be a exactly a week with day 0 taking into account.....instead of 17 straight days to help not log in anymore.

Last point before i set up my alarm clock, supply and demand is ridiculous, the leagues from top to bottom need to be consolidated this offseason. It could be that shot of reality everyone here needs to see if GLB were to eliminate CPU owned team. There would be 1 league per level at every age in Casual, and maybe the odd 2 league elite and comp at other levels in regular, but thats it. The amount of teams for sale in Peewee says Peewee is done and done with 110+ cpu teams and so Rookie is the only way to go there imo. SOrry Peewee enthusiasts, its a numbers game now.

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5141128

Day 41 to 42
42 to 43
43 to 44
44 to 45
45 to 46
46 to 47
47 yo 48
48 to -8

8 days, 16 TP

Why do you ask?

1 - allows people to make players, train and apply BT and boost without having to wait until trying to squeeze it all in on day 48
2 - allows Bort to shorten the off season a couple of days if he likes without messing up people's build plans

Bort can tweak the chemistry recovery as well and then shorten the off season some

the pre-season can have 4 games on 4 days as opposed to 4 days on 8 days

would also need to modify the ticket selling macro - could do 4 runs each night instead of 2 to account for it

Yes, and that's ok--we can handle the truth, and we're not *limited* by it. This game should be treated like a "cash cow" by its owners. "Cash cow" is a marketing class 101 term in regard to the life cycle of a product, and I don't know why I have to be the one to remind the developers that this is a business, but that's an entirely different subject. All it would take is just a little bit of effort a couple of times a week. No major re-writes, just logging in for an hour a day and giving the game enough attention to get people to continue to purchase flex (or purchase again for the first time in a long time in some instances). For all of the bitching, there is still NOT another place on the web to play football--its the best online football game going (sorry GLB2). We don't need Bort to re-engineer the game--we just need him to pay a tiny bit of attention each day, or authorize Deathblade to do it, Rag on Corndog all you like but I'm confident he wouldn't enter a keystroke into a screen as an authorized employee if he didn't know the outcome of that keystroke. This game can live on for a very long time, but not if ownership doesn't stumble to the mic every once in awhile and remind the audience that the bar is still open.
