You are right I haven't been predicting doom for this game since 2010. I would look pretty silly sitting here in 2014 still playing it if I did.

Predicting doom and acknowledging a problem isn't the same thing.

An utter disaster? That's quite a stretch. It needs a lot of improvements tho. But luckily that is what beta is for. I'll continue to play it as long as it continues to improve. No doubt I said to my buddy back in 2008 that this was a neat game but I will probably get bored of the small playbook, easy gameplanning, and watching some dots run around a field in a month or so and fml I'm still here and we have gone well beyond that mark. I even almost left the game when the buffalo bills script made a complete joke of gameplanning and the game yet again advanced and I'm still here.

Needless to say I'll keep on flexin until I know the shows definitely over. I'll just stop kidding myself.

It really is tho. The problems you keep clinching to as the games "demise" are only just a fraction of the shit that has brought the userbase to an all time low. Predicting the game was headed for doom before it left beta was just being dumb. After it left beta acknowledging its slow death was just obvious.

yep
all the idiots who were pushing Bort to take GLB out of Beta should be very proud.
Much to my lack of amazement, the game immediately ossified and began to die.

Bort should have just kept on pushing changes through, however big they were, and without any lubrication.

Yeah, it's obvious by how active the forums got after GLB neutered the forums and banned trolls.

Honestly I'm just gonna keep assuming that is why the second game was football again because it wasn't as easy as just keep pushing out extra stuff. But otherwise I agree with the premise.

Taking it out of Beta certainly didn't mean it had to be abandoned. I also don't think the stable sim has much to do with the site's demise, as the sim is pretty good.
