Take Agility up to 48, then do the same with Vision. Focus all the points in those 2 til that's done. Your SAs should be fine til then. And get both Jumping and Tackling with training, don't neglect them both. Also forget about Catching, that's more than enough for a long, long time (Jumping seems to play a bigger role in picking and deflecting).


thanks i appreciate it... this is my first player so im kinda still seeing how to build a player and how different attributes affect a player during game time...

Your very mistaken I have yet to miss a tackle this year. Its amazing I know but when you have LB and DL that do there job CB don't really have to fear missed tackles.

I think agility could help, though vision might be the more important attribute. Underneath routes are hard to stop on Defense period. If I were you, I would soft cap vision, and then get super vision up to 2. My level 15 guy seems to do well to shut down the WR, though still half the time he gets beat on a underneath route. I'm training jumping and tackling on intense, and with my next 10 SP plan on softcapping vision (4 SP) and the rest into stamina (6 SP). After that, I will alternate SP between speed and agility:

Strength: 13.5
Speed: 60.58 (+8 EQ)
Tackling: 18.2
Agility: 56.98 (+6 CE)
Jumping: 18.62
Catching: 20.62
Stamina: 26.71
Carrying: 13.5
Vision: 44.33
Confidence: 13.5

Shutdown: 2-2-2-0-0
Speedster: 0-0-0-0-0

Underneath routes are pretty much unstoppable for lower level CBs. I have a level 18 CB in a league where all WRs are level 17, and my build is fucking amazing and they still beat me. I think 1-1 speed agility is a waste. Go super vision/shutdown SA. These supposedly have amazing effects. Upgrade your eq with speed probably.
Put your next points into softcapping vision and then getting super vision up. Adding a little to agility once in a while wont help but getting it 1-1 is a huge waste.

I'm a low level (7) and have as you can see been putting a majority of my points on to speed and agility with equip all on speed and training other categories like tackling, and jumping... any advice/criticisms on my approach? As far as the season goes right now I have 4 PassDef 1 Int and 14 Tackles...

I have a level 27 CB through 8 games he has 36 tackles and 1 INT

I am not complaining about his performance or anything. More so just looking for some advice as I am inexperienced with players at these levels. Here is his build.

strength 28.26
speed 73.12 (all his eq is in speed)
agility 48.66
jumping 29.08
stamina 36.44
vision 48.56
confidence 28.5
tackling 31.19
catching 29.12
carrying 16.13 (i never put points into carrying, but i guess it raised as i leveled, making me think this may be an important attribute for a corner who is NOT a kr/pr)

3 points in each of the Shutdown Corner SA tree.
No points in the other tree


I have focused my training of late on jumping and catching.


Where should I start to focus my training/level up SPs??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, train catching and jumping on intense- jumping affects both jump balls as well as diving tackles and even the tackling radius. Get Agility up to the second cap, then Get First Step to 2 and Change Direction to 4.
