HoF rankings are a complete joke. If you're going to have it, actually make it relevant and not simply because a craptastic dot played 31 seasons, half of which against badly outleveled competition.
Added to the OP:
Another way to filter in what players get named to the Hall of Fame would be put the HOF Committee to work.(A commited HOF Committee)
Players that retire should be retired 1 full season before being named to a HOF ballot.
That would give plenty of time for a committee to go over HOF Ballots and make a solid decision who gets in and who doesn't.
Requirements should be met so not just any dot gets in the HOF.
Requirements should be: championships,league awards,strength of competition,gathered career stats and so on.
Seeing dots in the Hall of fame that are still playing their careers is in no way a Hall of Fame and that dot shouldn't be a Hall of Famer *Yet*
Then we can look at the Hall of Fame the way its supposed to be.
