only in the way of that ROLB coming off the corner. i havent seemed to have that much trouble with it tho...generally people who blitz that formation a lot get burnt pretty hard by some of those plays from what i have seen...you may be right tho.

in a way ya...it is maddening that over the course of 10+ seasons things go from bad, to manageable, to worse....and the only way they feel to fix things is to handcuff someone.

I didn't think I was snappy. Apologies.

I find this humorous tbh. Defenses are at least not scoring half the points in every game any longer and I haven't found any plays that cause an insta-sack on every play outside of the 5WR sets so far this season. Some plays don't work well against a blitz though, no arguing that.

there are holes on the inside as well. I haven't bothered running it with our blitzers in those spots though yet.

yeah i've seen some good things out of the sim over the seasons, but those good things are never held onto they just disappear over time and forgotten

the current sim actually reminds of a football version of NBA Jam. no joke and no pun intended lol

I dont think anything outside of 5 WR is auto sack either...just find the limited options lame at this point. I want more options...not to have to give the defense less.

I would love to hear an objection to hot routes. Allow oc's to dump the pass anytime player A, B, or C blitzes. Would solve a ton of problems with auto sacks on te routes.

I don't have an objection and never have. Hell, I'm basically running a hot route offense right now.

Not entirely true. Most teams have a big collection of blitzes with varying ranges of cheapness. Some only run them situationally.


Also, most of this is pointless as i'm sure some things will get adjusted midseason and even if they don't, in the playoffs things will work themselves out. Has been pretty consistent with playoff success most the time. Blaze and hhwc always gonna be in the ccg and hali/saigon usually close with the exception of last season's bonk

I am thinking SB quick slant wr1/te type hot routes, where when ROLB Blitzes qb releases ball to bt wr, or to te where its a broken tackle away from the house. Would literally stop exploit blitzes in their tracks

the working themselves out in the playoffs is going to be screen, screen, screen, screen, screen.

What att's will a QB need to spot a blitz like that? Can the D fake blitz and back off?
