like maybe a 'hard hitter' LB gets a natural +5% force fumble (5% is made up - I'm thinking something meaningful but not overpowered)

man to man CB could get 5% INT

+1 to idea
-1 to CB specific suggestion

Man Coverage CBs don't pick it off much, they do bat it away a lot tho. Picks happen more often from zone since they see it all the way.

Maybe

SO we will need to add more players to the team, will upgrades costs be going down?

Fix the sim not the builds. Another determent from the fact that bugs can't be fixed and another way to make people think more is better.

I don't think so. If anything it provides more direction. How many freaking FA's do we see that have messed up builds? A lot. This at least points them in a direction. Combine that with a FAQ and I think we would see better builds.

I like the basic idea, but this makes all players over the 120 day mark worthless.

I dont think so. I mean i dont really see anything that will make these players worlds better than the current group of players. Just a different approach to building them is all. Centers, DTs in particular are taking a fairly substantial hit to their end potential

Setting the Agents up for major confusion again. I fully realize that changes are constant on GLB and actually welcome it overall. It shows you are interested in your product improving. But at what cost? Such a major upheaval when things are still spotty in other areas. I too would love to have more clarification on actual benefits of the SAs, and improved pace of leveling up players. I mention these as I have debated for several seasons now a-la-Favre whether it was time to put the game behind me as I've grown weary of some of the negative portions of the game. Its hard to "get better" at GLB with the ever changing direction the game has been taken. Players shouldn't have to read volumes of info to play and to enjoy the game. My 2 cents.

so, when your team needs you to move over to a different type of player because they cant fill a need there buy can get another player where you are, currently its doable, in the future well your out of luck.

This is gonna be awesome imo....im sure it will have its bugs and tweaks needed but i am totally for it. I would even support a total player wipe with 100% flex refund and start over, though I am sure i am VERY much in the minority on that one.

Spin is an elusive ability, not a power ability. So ummm no.

Actually, if I had a choice of archetype from the start I would've been likelier to make a better character in the first place already knowing what to level on my player in terms of stats and VAs. Then it would've probably encouraged me to break the mold later on by experimenting with other things with new characters.

This is a great idea.

being an owner of an AAA squad, this change makes me want to scrap the entire team and start over to take advantage, no point in competing at a high level to get unseated by players who will be born with much higher growth levels.

Higher end teams specialize players into these categories without the added bonuses. Why would people not want to scrap it all and start over?

Because these players will never touch players made 2-3 seasons ago. It means if you have a team made already lets say 80 days before these changes go into affect your player will be even more dominant, bc likely 80% of the teams made in the last 80 days will fold, and if you did everything proper, will likely dominate GLB for a very long time.

Yes, I'm sure they will be confused out of their mind.

1). Make an account
2). Choose an HB
3). Choose whether you want a power or elusive HB

OMG :MINDBLOWN: THIS GAME IS TOO CONFUSING

I love the idea of special team SA's. You can actually build a special teams that can impact the game in a great way. Special team players could become an asset if used correctly. This is a great idea. It does kind of box some positions, but you have the main ones with plenty of options. It still allows for you to build how you like. You can make a fast speedy power back. It would essentially be a elusive back with great power back SA's. I can see the diversity you are talking about. It does suck a bit because I have made a ton of players that I will have to fix, however this could make the game pretty cool.

One serious question. Will this make Defensive game planning a one stop shop? Will you be able to just tag elusive backs, power backs, combo and have an automatic defense that goes in against those players? If so I can see people building complex defenses and just transfering them to teams without any game planning.

It should make coordinating easier, yes. I wouldn't say that it will make it automatic though.
