It is a monstrosity of a plan, but I think it has a whole lot of good parts for it. I think a larger and deeper stadium construction would really appeal to a lot of people. There would be a slight rich-get-richer tone with it, especially for those with already maxed-out stadiums, but I don't think that would be enough to discourage it.

As with any of the larger and more complex ideas, I don't think this all would be implemented within one off-season or server update. It would take a few updates in my opinion. The idea of this large and complex OP is that we are trying to assist Bort and Co in the event that they decide to start to tackle this. Hopefully with a Community of GLB trying to sort out and think of pros and cons of this idea, we would make it easier to implement at an appropriate time.

what about we create a mascot, we were thinking bout we be able to create a guy and train him and give him atributes, just like the players, but mascots atributes...
but also, a good idea would be a mascot as a stadium upgrade, and as better your mascot gets more your players get morale or sumthing...
what yall think? daz just a rought idea..

I have definitely thought of adding per-game maintenance fees based on how many sections you have. First 2 sections = free, additional cost more per section. I'm just not sure if the added complexity adds anything to the game other than spending money randomly. Same reason concessions don't have a cost associate with buying stock, etc. It's all just sorta assumed to be taken care of.

Also, the upgrades in the OP probably need to be more expensive, or provide smaller bonuses.

The other thing I think would need to happen with these upgrades would be for fan support to move upwards more slowly. If you're a very winning team, it's not all that hard to get 100% fan support after a couple seasons, so there would be no reason to buy the upgrades.

I'd love to see the fan support algorithm updated in many ways anyway. Deserves its own thread but right now win/loss streaks (as opposed to overall record, playoff performance, or league level) have way too much impact on a team's finances.

A simple fix that would help a lot of teams would be to lower the downside of fan support based on season tickets sold. Those fans are loyal and supportive no matter what, but they catch fire if winning.

So if a team sells 5% season tickets the formula stays similar to today's formula, but if they sell 25 or 50% then they'd have a benefit on fan support (thus losses don't hurt as much and wins still help nearly as much or the same)
