Who are you talking about?

Man, I'm a fan of irony, but this thread is getting ridiculous.

Not to nitpick, but it is not "grammatically incorrect" to do what he did. It could be considered logically incorrect, but most technically it is a metonymic statement, which is--in fact--an entirely acceptable aspect of colloquial diction.

However, it IS grammatically incorrect to use the term "grammatically" the way you did there, because it isn't used according to any of its definitive meanings.

Now, back to the incessant Neaderthalisms:

So who were you talking about when you mentioned being "on the losing end all the time?" Because so far that hasn't really affected me (unless my team loses tomorrow, which is def a possibility)...

Just wanted clarification.

Thanks, Thunder. I got your grammatical back if you ever need anything, too.

Game 7 predictions

The Bad Guys, Badlands at The Screaming Snails - This will be only our 2nd true test, and the Snails have an impressive lineup. Too much talent...and vanity on Badlands. My pick: Badlands

New Orleans Nation at Seattle Spartans - New Orleans is scary talented, and I don't see them having a problem with Seattle. My pick: New Orleans

Nortwest Nighthawks at Orange Maner - Upstart Maner won't be a match for one of the best teams in the league. My pick: Northwest

Biloxi Dirty Man-Whores at Sante Fe Regulators - *Game of the day* Sante Fe comes off a huge win against powerful Gilead. Biloxi is stacked with some of the most attractive players in all of GLB. This will be one of those 14-13 type games. My pick: Biloxi

Gilead Gunslingers at Oklahoma City Red Raiders - Gilead will unleash their wrath on lowly Oklahoma City after being soundly beaten by Sante Fe. This game won't be close. My pick: Gilead

Los Angeles Gauchos at San Diego Savages - These two teams are hard to read and evenly matched. Both will compete for that elusive 8th playoff seed. My pick: San Diego

Oakland BlackReign at Bellevue Blitz - Bellevue is looking to turn the corner after a slow start. Oakland is just not playing good football right now. My pick: Bellevue

Tulsa Scorpions at Charlestown Chiefs - This is another interesting matchup. I believe Charlestown is heading in the right direction. I'm not so sure about Tulsa. This game can go either way. My pick: Charlestown

I was 8 for 8 last time. Let's see how I do this time.

What on Earth are you talking about? After your team plays us they play 5 terrible teams and 1 mediocre one. Santa Fe will surely make the playoffs.

I approve of this message. Santa Fe has it made in the shade...you're already through most of "The Gauntlet" of the league schedule, as it was coined earlier...

Yeah, our (Santa Fe) schedule is sort of the worst one as far as starting out goes since we go back to back to back to back to back with pretty much the top talent in the league. Beat the Nighthawks and the Gunslingers to prove that we're going to be in contention for the title. We only lost by 15 and 17 against what I believe to be the #1 and #2 (undefeated currently, too) teams in the Conference.

Any predictions for the Eastern Conference? I'm eager to see a writeup for us.

While I've skipped over most of the trashtalking, it's good we got back to civility in this forum.

Keep up the good work on the predictions guys. Let's keep this fun and entertaining.
