#10 (2-3) Cleveland Timelords vs. #8 NewDawn Thrashing Badgers (2-3)
This week 6 match-up has the Timelords packing up and traveling to NewDawn to face the Thrashing Badgers. The Timelords started the season hot, but unfortunately for them it was against two of the worst teams in the conference. NewDawn is coming off a solid win against Chicago after losing three straight games. Cleveland uses the league least diversified offense by only passing the ball around 22 times a game. They are going to have to be very successful in those 22 attempts against NewDawn to have a chance. Unfortunately for them.. NewDawn will be ready and Cleveland won't be able to have enough success on the ground to beat the Thrashing Badgers.
28-14 NewDawn
#6 (3-2) Big 12 Champions vs. #4 Ludlow Lions (5-0) *GOTW
In the week 6 Game of the Week, The Champions of Big 12 country head to Ludlow to face an extremely tough Lions squad. The Lions are already a deep and talented team, but the selling of the Birmingham Bombers has allowed them to work out deals with a couple of talented former Bombers. Fortunately for Big 12 only one of those players will be in this game. This game will be decided in the trenches. Both teams use a fairly balanced attack and both squads have strong offensive lines. The team who's lines can control the LOS will win the game. It's hard to go against the team who's offensive line has been the most solid group in the league for consecutive seasons. Ludlow should win a tough, intense battle.
20-10 Ludlow
#1 (5-0)Greensboro Tsunami vs. #7 Tampa Tiger Sharks (2-3)
In this battle the Sharks get to play host to the Tsunami. Two of the conference's bottom-feeders have turned their franchises around and have proven themselves as contenders. Both teams have solid passing games and each use a balanced approach offensively. Greensboro has one of the best deep ball passing games in the conference and Tampa will have to find a way to limit the big play potential of the Tsunami. Defensively, both teams are eerily similar. I think the difference in this game will be the teams passing efficiency. Although Tampa completes around 67% of their passes.. they have yet to find the end zone through the air, but have thrown 6 picks. If they give the Tsunami extra chances via turnovers.. they will lose the game.
27-20 Greensboro
#15 (0-5)Northeast Storm vs. #16 D-League Dream Team (0-5)
The pillow fight match of the week is a game strictly for bragging rights. Neither of these teams have any chance of making a playoff run and should be using this game in preparation for next season. The Dream Team is a team with complete focus on the future and that means losing their games this season. The Storm pick up their first win in an ugly game.

#2 (5-0) Indianapolis Warlords vs. #14 Brooklyn Bagpipers (1-4)
This week the Warlords of Indianapolis face off in Brooklyn against the Bagpipers. Indianapolis has been putting up big offensive numbers this season, but they've played one of the weakest 5 game schedules in the conference. The easy schedule will continue in week 6 against the Bagpipers. The Bagpipers have some quality players, but the Warlords have a quality team. While I don't think they can go asleep at the wheel in this game.. they can definitely rest their eyes.
35-13 Warlords
#3 (5-0) Pittsburgh Deatons vs. #5 Denver Stallions (3-2)
This is another game that should be a very solid match-up. Pittsburgh has pulled off a 5-0 start, but like Indy the level of competition has been low and they struggled against the only solid team they've faced in last week's game against Tampa. Pittsburgh is another one-dimensional team offensively who loves to pound the ball and play smash-mouth football. Unlike Pitt and Indy.. Denver has played a very tough 5 game schedule and have won some tough games. They've also showed they can compete with any team in the conference. The surprise of this match-up may come from Pittsburgh surprisingly efficient passing game. The Deatons have thrown for 9 TD with 0 picks this season and they will have to limit turnovers to beat Denver. It's a coinflip. George says it's Denver's game.
20-17 Denver
#13 (1-4) Bay Area Wolfpack vs. #9 Chicago Capones (2-3)
This week the Chicago Capones host the pass-heavy Wolfpack from the Bay Area. The Capones are one of the most talented Eastern conference teams on paper, but are coming off a less-than-impressive showing against NewDawn. I think the NewDawn loss will spark some extra life in the Capones and they will be fired up and ready to get a nice home win against the Wolfpack. If Bay Area can score early and put pressure on Chicago to play from behind they have a decent shot at the upset. I think Chicago's talent differential makes the difference in this game and they win a fairly close one.
24-17 Chicago
#11 (2-3) Lake Erie Menace vs. #12 Birmingham Bombers (2-3)
The final game of the week has the Menace traveling to Birmingham to face the Bombers. Unfortunately for Bomber fans everywhere, the team will be selling and moving at the end of this season. The team's roster has become more and more depleted each week as players are being released to their new homes. This is a great thing for the Menace as they should be able to steal a win this week. It will be a nice help towards them making a push for playoff contention.
45-24 Lake Erie
Good luck to all teams and I am excited for my own player to make his debut with the Lion's tonight.
