They're having a hard time connecting their Nintendo to the internet.

As soon as it's ready! Don't have a precise release date yet, but we're all working here to get it out there for you guys as soon as possible.

Actually, yeah, I'd say it does. I think people will dig the process for building fighters, acquiring gear, and then actually fighting. The modern gameplay / retro look might not do it for everyone (see: all the bitching here about GLB2 graphics), but as a 33-year old American person, the retro designs tap directly into nostalgia veins that run pretty deep for me. And I think the whole thing is being executed with an attention to detail and a sense of humor that should, I hope, win people over.

That being said, if you're mainly looking for things to scoff at or complain about, I trust you'll be able to find a few.

I want to say yes, but mainly because the core of the game and mechanics are (mostly) my creation. Nearly a hundred different skills, and I was pretty obsessive about giving all of them a different feeling, different mechanic, and interesting interactions with other skills.

Coupled with an equipment system that will make it incredibly unlikely to find the same item twice, multiple classes, multiple ways to build, and group battles that drastically change aspects of skills...I'm pretty stoked for the game itself. Graphics are just a delivery system for the underlying game.

Do people play GLB for the graphics? Nope, it's the underlying game. Corndog makes a valid point here. While graphics are the first perception of a game it's not necessarily the best aspects of it. Give it a chance before you bash it. Maybe you won't be disappointed.
