Exactly, still playing it and will be until they do shut it down. My money got me exactly what this game is, a distraction.

Maybe, but we have still been here 6 years. If it was that big of a disappointment, you should have left for good instead of a month at a time.

Well, considering the big flex sales were 2008/early 2009 and the game had shitloads of promise back then...

I don't disagree about the game's promise. That being said, again, we have all known what it is now for quite some time. Which is my point.

My point is probably 80% of my flex purchases were on the front end. The "you knew what this was/is" argument is wrong.

Game has been this way for what, year and half since the end of beta? Yet it seems once a week someone starts a thread or complains in one that Bort never logs in here, works on any improvements, etc. It was pretty clear from that point on what was going to be happening and it hasn't changed. Like I said, move on.

Move on to what? I've invested here and the game is still here. Myself and most others have went out of our way to find ways to make this game entertaining over the years. To be honest, it shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to make your product better or for them to be forced to manufacture ways to continue using your product.

Yeah devoting a lot of development time to this game wasn't working. Unless you're going to claim the game grew between 2010 and GLB2 release?

WGG has seen an improvement on number of users since GLB2 release. Adding frivolous things to this game like an arbitrary weather system would amount to...nothing.

We are going to keep it running for as long as people are still playing it including the servers and support staff but you're insane if you think we are going to apologize for making new games, immediately shut them down and come crawling back to GLB1.

I'm not sure that anyone here is asking for a lot of development time or sweeping new changes and/or features. It would be nice to have a coder spend a couple hundred hours a calender year implementing some of the simple changes/updates. Is it unreasonable to expect an "Army Reserve" level of commitment from someone at your company who has the ability to implement changes in the existing code?

You have to realize that there is segment of your userbase who does continue to purchase flex only for use on GLB1. Retaining customers has not proven to be a strong suit of your young company, and statements like your second paragraph highlight part of the reason for that. Keeping people like me spending money on your company's products would seem to amount to more then nothing. Especially when doing so requires little more then a token interest in doing so.

I do appreciate having support still devoted to this game, but I would sure trade a support person or two for some coding time if given the option. Even if it meant my player/team name changes were processed a bit more slowly.

As someone who has continued to spend $ with WGG at almost the same pace I always have (despite my best efforts), I am curious about your last statement. What is the break even point for GLB1? If there is no coding/development $ going into 1, how much new money does it require to keep the game in operation as is?

None of my future money is intended for the 2nd version, but in all honesty I hope that product becomes greatly successful. I doubt very many of the people who continue to play 1 hope for the failure of 2 as it would inevitably hurt the game we do enjoy. I also don't think anyone expects your entire development team to drop all current and future projects and return to a complete focus on version 1 of GLB. Again, my hope is that at some point it can become a part time project for continued improvement. As I have seen stated by admin many times, 2 is a different game and intended in many ways for a different user base looking for different things out of a football simulation. So it's frustrating when the response we continue to get from those at the top of your company is "We're done with 1". If that's the case, please remove the suggestion forum on 1. It seems little more then a cruel joke to us at things stand now.

I could not care any less if Bort ever makes another posting on the GLB1 forums. He's never been much of a poster, and the Q&A threads have run their course anyway. My interest is infinitely greater in seeing some new entries in the Changelog and Suggestions sections of my News tab. Be they from Bort or anyone else at WGG.

I still play

I have spent plenty

I don't think there is anything wrong with users creating ways to keep the game entertaining for them

Doubt I will ever run out of flex, and when they do turn it off whatever flex I have will go with the game.

I don't need a Bort post to make this game anything more to me than it is now. It's a time sink and something to do when I got nothing else to do.

Again I say -1 to suggestion

Move on from thinking something is going to change here. Accept what the game has become, it is not going to change no matter how many threads, complaints are made. I enjoy what I can from the game while it is still here. I myself would hate to see you leave as you probably know, but if you can't enjoy it for what it is, it's probably time bro.

Bort agrees with you and that's why any game he creates in the future will suffer the same fate as GLB2 until he and his staff have a drastic change in attitude toward their customers. The table was set here at the original and now he's having to eat his shit sandwich.

That's pretty comical considering that's the third time you've told us to "move on".

What does it have to do with #2?

D-league challenge, iron man leagues , agent run tourneys like GROWL, ToC and the like...deciding on a whim to get some shit going in PeeWee#4 just to troll the 2 human owners.... I think it's pretty cool to have ways like that to keep the game entertaining

the game is still good imo. forums are pretty much dead which kind of sucks. im still having fun even though im not coordinating anymore. dleague challenge is pretty awesome and even lolcasual is pretty good.

idk why ppl are still complaining about the game. the only thing thats really broken is how shitty blitzing is. itll never be fixed. we've all been here for 5+ years. i cant think of any other game ive played for so long and talked to the same ppl every week.

i hate you all and youve all ruined this game for me.
