While I like GLB 1 more than GLB 2, I'm not giving up on GLB 2 just yet. And I truly do think that GLB 1 is on its way out, unfortunately. And quite frankly, I like building players. Just today, I began to wonder about what I should do. I have a pro dot, and I was thinking of retiring him and starting over. However, I'm not sure this game will be around by the time that dot makes it back to the pros. Still, I like this game more, and I hope it's around for a while.

And who knows? Maybe I'll eventually like GLB 2.

Now that's just nonsense. I still remember threads from Western Europe A #3 in s2, and kept agents I played against back then involved with Grand Banks until they finally quit the game altogether. You couldn't recapture that with veterans who no longer have the passion that comes with newness, but smaller leagues and confusion over whether league or ladder matches matter more don't help.

I haven't really argued with him in a long time. He trolls and I ignore him. The WL forum died when the mods killed it.

There isn't any confusion. All the games matter.

Wl forum wasn't even killed by mods. Nobody cares. Nobody cares enough to do rankings. Nobody cares about the glb tourney. Nobody cares enough to do anything. Nobody cares.

Look at North America pro right now. Did the mods kill them? No cuz some people care enough to make it fun.

Support decided that CPU teams in elite were a good idea. I got demoted with a winning record to promote teams that got stomped.

I followed up winning season 33 with 2nd place in Elite S34 in both the league and the GLBOT, then won the GLBOT the next season.

...and you retired.

Nice how you totally sidestep the facts. You stated my team didn't do shit when in fact we won 12 and a playoff game. I proved you wrong. You stated you didn't care about lolminors. Anyone that reads that thread can see where you continually inserted your comp team into some elite rankings you pulled out of your ass and posted them in our (elite) forum. You scheduled scrims against every elite team that would accept and then acted as if they proved something.

The fact of the matter is simple. You claimed you're elite and that I'm a no-talent bum. While the latter may be true, this no-talent bum did something you couldn't and whipped your ass all in the same season.

Whipped my ass?

You beat me by two points in a quick scrim before the season even began and then refused to play me ever again. When the prospect of having to play me loomed in Season 34, you did this:

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?season=34&team_id=228

Sold the team because you were too tired from a season of coordinating in elite, a season where even you stood a chance because of how many lolteams got promoted. I mean, you won your first playoff game 70-0 and then got destroyed 56-0 when you faced a real elite team.

I never stated I didn't care about lolminors, I said that I wanted to play the best teams because anything below Elite in the minors is a total joke. You took serious offence to that statement. Then I went 20-0 in the lolCompetitive, including beating a little team called the Indianapolis Gurupies in the championship. Maybe you have heard of them?

But, no really. I realize that there are 60+ pages to read, but I suggest you do it. Go read that S33 Minor League forum. You can see how I continually stomped Dub J in the forum, to the point where he did the old PM+Block combo. He was always trying to goad me into a fight, only to realize that he didn't have the chops to hang with me.

You really should just slink away from this thread in shame. You can call yourself elite all you want but it doesn't make it so.

Memphis changed ownership after the season because a huge roster turnover was looming and I did not feel like mass recruiting a roster back to back offseasons. You and your crappy 8-bit team were not a factor in that decision.

I didn't take offense to your statement "anything below elite is crap" or whatever you said to that effect. I took offense to the fact you continued to post stupid shit about your team as if it were in our league. The faux rankings you posted with your team inserted in our league was perhaps the saddest thing I've ever seen.

It's funny how you post that you "stomped me in the forum" when I systematically have torn you apart ITT.

Seems pretty accurate to me. The only other person I can remember praising GLB2 besides you and Time Trial is Homage. But even you have commented about how awful the GLB2 interface is, and that building isn't really interesting either. I get that the team strategy aspect appeals to you, and if I was willing to waste the flex to buy a whole GLB2 team then maybe it would appeal to me too. But owning one or a few dots in GLB2 is awful. The replays are terrible even when you feel like waiting for them to load, the build process is dumb, and there's no sense of community.

eh I supported it because I was fucking bored of GLB1. We have a team in NAPL... we should be excited about them, but honestly... we're bored with 'em. Are the AI's and building processes simple? Sure. But you still have to make decisions this early in the process. Do you stack this or do I balance it out... sure when you look at an end build and you're like OH YEAH NOT HARD RESPECS ETC. But you're seriously dumbing down the process and acting as though the GLB1 process is superior when it's probably one of the easiest things to do once you get a grasp on it. I mean... the last two batches of players I've made have been made without the VPB. I only used the thing to check my BT allotment. Building here is fucking easy and does not require any creativity at all.

The ladder games created rivalries with teams that weren't even in our league. I had fun this season. More fun than I've had in GLB1 in a long time.

But hey, do what y'all want. I'm only in here cause my ears were ringin'.

You'd better go back and read the thread again DubJeff because your razor sharp points are looking pretty dull from where I'm sitting.

The fact that you couldn't hack it in Elite was the reason that your team was sold. Not because of a huge turnover.

Do you lie to yourself or just to us? I went through your entire team from season 33 by following this link:

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2300102

11 players retired after season 33, at least 4 of them were yours.

Most of the people on your team went and found other teams to play on. The one who gave up was you. The people who played on your team that season probably remember you deciding to sell the team, because they were all forced to either retire or find new teams.

Funny how you like to make up history, like you being good at this game or you ever being relevant in the forums.
