Hey, I have an idea. Let's all just assume that we know exactly how a noob would respond to something that would help them if they use it. That way we never have to prove anything, and thus we never have any helpful tools for the masses that exist on GLB. I have to agree with you to some degree, I think it will help the hardcore players more than the rest, but let's be intellectually honest here. The hardcore players are already using a builder so why not make it simpler for the less hardcore players to become a hardcore player by not having to find the builder then assuming they understand how to install the builder (I know it is easy, but honestly why would a non-hardcore player go to this extreme). I think making things easier to become a "hardcore" player builder, thus making the game more competitive overall, should be the goal of GLB.

-100. for some of the above reasons. half the fun is trying to figure out what makes some builds work and some not work...doing this will help lazy people be even more lazy and punish good builders for thier hard work.

also more builds will be the same, which makes the game less interesting and less fun.

Might as well get GLB to build players for you, hell, give you the perfect dot right off the bat.

-1. IF player want to have the best players, they should put in the work to do so.

I agree completely with this poster. PLEASE NO.

I don't get this argument.

A player builder doesn't build the player for you. It just allows you to build out your player to see what it will look like end build. You still have to apply all the sp. You still have to do all the training. All it allows you to do is simulate a career's worth of training and sp placement over the course of minutes to see how the build will look when you are done. Then you can try different methods to see which one you want to go with.

The argument makes even less sense when you already know that we all have access to exactly what this idea is requesting. Adding it to the game and making it "officially supported" doesn't change anything. All it does is (theoretically) give us a more stable version of the player builder.

And puts everyone on a level playing field.

Only people with Greasemonkey can use it now. No way a noob or beginner gets finds out about the VPB right away

Right. So basically, the clowns that don't want this have some delusions of grandeur and are a godlike dot builder in their own minds. They don't want to share their godlike abilities with new players. Personally, I'd much rather have nearly every dot built be acceptable for WL/Pro. That's the number one way to create better competition - teach the morons how to build better dots instead of the shitty ones that constantly form teams and lose by 255 points.

I can not believe that this has made it to a vote.

You do this and there are going to be a lot of PF's that are now null. I do not think that a GLB guide should be implemented because it will take the fun out of dot building if you know what to do from the get go.

It's not a GLB guide. It's a build simulator that let's you test out different things on your own. And the thing is, an unofficial one that is available to the public already exists. You just have to use firefox, install greasemonkey, and download the script.

It's a tool that allows players to test different build strategies out. Why not make it available to everyone instead of just those who use firefox as a browser.

I'm seriously beginning to think many of those against it have no idea what it really is.

I think they just saw the words "player builder" and said I don't want that.

I guess there could be legit reasons for not wanting it, but most of the arguments presented so far have nothing to do with what this really is.
