TO is not a first ballot HOFer specifically because of his hands. Jerry Rice had a great work ethic, but he had a ton of talent, too. I can name a few current receivers that work just as hard.

by the time he's done, TO will be top 2 or 3 in most major receiving statistical categories... how will he NOT be a first?

And neither is Chris Carter.. But they both are deserving of it IMO

Both deserve the HOF, and I am not going to argue whether they deserve it on the first ballot. If a player deserves to make it, they deserve it on the first ballot. However, both players had some weaknesses that usually cause many voters to balk on voting them in on the first ballot.

This is key. Honestly, probably why W alloy was the best at this game, he never missed a single training session, and "worked his ass off" keeping up with the seasonal sim changes

he did early, but the last ssn he coasted. He even asked me in a PM if I thought anything important had changed before Val's last ssn, because he hadn't spent any time looking. The difference in his approach that last ssn was night and day. The team was just so solid everywhere that he could get away with it at that point, despite most being in decline.

Any stats that he posts by the end of his career will be passed by a handful of the current elite receivers. If he retires with top 2 or 3 stats only to have them passed within a few seasons by a number of players (and they will), the voters will see that he was not the greatest receiver of his era, an important point in HOF consideration.

The argument is about speed so why bring up TO if you aren't making that point?

was referring to you guys all up in arms about how ALL WR's in the NFL haz amazing catching ability. They just don't.
And TO isn't exactly slow. He's just bigger and stronger than just about every other DB in the NFL.

If anything... I think WR's in GLB have too good of hands sometimes. Game needs more wide open drops and overthrows and various other things etc that actually occur in the passing game that just flat out don't right now.

I agree with all of that but gotta disagree with the TO part. TO actually has really good hands if you watch him make catches in coverage, the issue is he drops easy passes...probably because of concentration.
