Wait...I thought saying his name three times makes the Candyman appear and tear your throat out with his hook?

The thought that you could out-gameplan the MEM coordinators is so ridiculously hilarious I can't believe you actually typed it.

All the really good teams work really hard to make connections. While it helps having a bunch of your own players on the roster you might be better off sending them elsewhere to try and make some new dot connections. CV and the other snipers do recruit their asses off though.

I'm tempted to give smitty my keys to O and D for the MEM game.

Yeah, whatever you've been doing hasn't been working.

While CV should get most of the credit for the what the team is today there's a slew of agents that helped him build the evil empire

Yea, i mean, merc is the owner of KKAR but without ladzyman, track and nike, the team definitely wouldn't still be kicking in usapl. Same can be said about Alpine. Don't want to know where we'd be if scaud didn't do so much recruiting or zero didn't step in and do the defense for cav

Makes sense tbh...You have proven your total inability to hang with us in the past. Basically he couldn't do worse than you have so why not.

I do have stick up for smitt here, he has done a good job by himself. He has never really had any help with game planning. Now would he be winning championship after championship with the MEM roster, I think he could do a great job with them. I know you all want to pile on him but if you took a look at what he has done by himself I honestly don't think you can seek him short on what he has been able to do. I think if we had more dedicated players some of these other teams and had legit scouts he could do better. I used to help a little with this but I have lost both respect and interest in this game along with buying my first house and having my first kid I don't have the time nor care to make time right now. I think there is a mob mentality when it comes to jumping on smitt but take a look at yourself and ask if you could do this well by yourself season after season?

For the sake of argument, lets say you have a legit point that smitt has done well by himself and that he can do some game planning. It is very rare that a one man show can consistently do well and handle all the aspects of being a successful owner just because it takes a lot of time and talent in so many different areas. This is where he comes up short at because he has obvious issues being able to organize effective help and recruiting; both of which are required for an organization to be successful at this level of the game. Both jf and chrono are right on the mark when they point out several other very successful owners have good knowledgeable people working for them.

You confirm what everyone here knows and that is smitt can either whine about how others have "unfair" advantages and how "unfair" the system is because it doesn't play to his strengths (supposedly game planning, etc) or he can do like all the other successful long term owners have done and that is realize he has the same opportunities as they did and the "system" really isn't going to give him jack. He is going to have to go out and recruit people to help him run his team because he can't do it himself at this level. So far we have a bunch of whining instead of a determination to do what needs to be done to fix his organization. I figure he will either merge or get out of the owner business pretty quickly.

I almost agree with everything you said. I will let you know he is a control freak and that does it hurt him a lot when it comes to taken some of the burden off of him. He is a good game planner though, but I think he had trouble adjusting to the sim last season and he got fed up. He has been doing a bulk of the work since season 2, I have helped a little but as of late I havent had time to help and this is where I will not argue against anyone is that we should of had other people that would have been able to pick up the slack in the first place. I think its too late to network for him now with his name being torn down in USA Pro of all places. He is a determined person though and I know he wont give up without a fight and thats why I will stick up for him he is a person that I would go to war with. He does need help and he knows that. I think he would merge but I would put money on the he would want the other team to merge to his and not the other way around.

Yea, adjusting to the everchanging sim is probably the hardest part about gameplanning. It's not even about scouting/gameplanning for specific games as much as it is figuring out the sim the best you can and then adjusting accordingly with builds, VAs, and your base AI.

Well he would have to find a team worse than his to have that happen, and the only ones that fit that criteria are CPU Sooooooo, NGTH
