Well, yeah.

We spent several years implementing things from the suggestions forums, until it was no longer financially viable to continue doing so due to user attrition. Then we moved on to try to stay afloat. Good news is that our other things mean that we'll be around for awhile. Bad news is that implementing small suggestions is no longer a high priority.

If anything is going to bring GLB Classic springing back to life, it's probably going to be on a more significant scale.

He's actually working on a Glorch trailer, and working on getting it on Steam Greenlight, etc.

Well heres the thing. User attrition occurred because there was not enough implemented. Like I mentioned before, the game is stagnant. That doesn't have to apply to the sim only, but to all facets. The majority of this game was actually created from the social interaction, and not much was done to grow that potential. Once people saw activity start dying down it became less interesting to keep up the interaction, so people moved on including you guys.

But why am I stuck with all this back end flex that is pretty much worthless now? Can i get refund?

Well, we implemented as much as we could for 4-5 years, until nearly going under.

As simple of a solution as it sounds, I'm not entirely sold that's going to be the saving grace.

No, but can I sell my fucking account???? Why not? Why do you admins care if someone buys it and continues playing WG games? I'd think it'd be a win-win for you all.

Guess not.

Why is it worthless?

GLB will be around as long as people are playing it.

Gonna be a long time before we see that JRPG then I would guess.

You know, I actually understand the reasoning. However I do not understand the decisions that followed and the secrecy hovering all over it. If you'd just come out and said something to the effect of, "Folks, we know the game needs a rewrite. We know it was the Chiefs beta effort and we've learned a lot from it, so we are going to do a rewrite from scratch and fix things that we didn't forsee to make the game better. yada yada yada"

It would have gone off better than the deflation felt by the anticipatory user-base when they found out the new game was another (and worse IMO) football sim. Probably would have gone over better. But hindsight is what it is.

I do sincerely wish WG luck for the future and hope you eventually release another game that I can use my stagnant points on and spend more $ on. The $ was never an issue. I don't regret any of it as I feel definitely got my money's worth over the years.

Just feels bad to see it dwindle into space...

Na, after Glorch we're getting back into it pretty heavy. I'd guess we'll have the JRPG by fall.

That ain't bad. Is the JRPG a separate entity from Warrior Games or will flex be usable for it?

Meh. I try to be analytical and play it down the middle. They own the biz and can set the rules regarding flex return and transfer of accounts. If someone doesn't like it then don't play. We all invested in flex and knew the risks. GLB has no obligation to return anything.

Flex is for our web games.

Not that there won't be a special, I could see giving free copies to current users or whatever.

sounds good

its still a good game, and requires less attention now.
but it would be nice to see you guys get a wild hair one weekend and revamp some things. Although i'm not sure I would ever dive into the changes as i would have once.

should have made a basketball game dummies, would have exploded

Well, we talked about it, but it isn't really feasible with our current team. I don't have much interest in basketball, and while Bort likes watching it, he isn't super knowledgeable about the intricacies.
