1) I'm not saying only elites should bother with GLB2, I said the elite teams cared about the ladder.

2) I always played Elite minors, Pro, and PWG. I finished #1 in STs HoF and I ended up in the top 15 teams on the ladder (despite building a running team in a passing sim and running a base playbook and defence for 90% of the season).

Support decided that CPU teams in elite were a good idea. I got demoted with a winning record to promote teams that got stomped.

I followed up winning season 33 with 2nd place in Elite S34 in both the league and the GLBOT, then won the GLBOT the next season.

Seems pretty accurate to me. The only other person I can remember praising GLB2 besides you and Time Trial is Homage. But even you have commented about how awful the GLB2 interface is, and that building isn't really interesting either. I get that the team strategy aspect appeals to you, and if I was willing to waste the flex to buy a whole GLB2 team then maybe it would appeal to me too. But owning one or a few dots in GLB2 is awful. The replays are terrible even when you feel like waiting for them to load, the build process is dumb, and there's no sense of community.

For the record, I don't hate GLB2 for killing off GLB1. GLB1 was dying anyway, GLB2 merely hastened the process. I don't like GLB2 because what I have tried of it has not appealed to me at all.

There wasn't much a sense for community in glb1 either in its opening seasons. While I understand this launch isn't nearly the same, community grows with familiarity. I don't expect a bunch of league forums to be rolling in season 1. I wouldn't expect that to be the case if the game were any other sport. Rivalries build. I can for certain say id much rather be in a league with nibs doing rankings and what not than suffer through yours and wises arguments in world league.

And that isn't a stab at you or wise. The argument has just become stale and I could care less about which of you are the better team.
