liar, no one would ever sign with a team with a bad chemistry. they are all probably your friends, because you are obviously in a huge network.

Some were even my enemies... >_<

i used to recruit the other owners in the leagues i was in. even better when they'd offer up players at the end of the season. i rarely had to do much recruiting after day 40.

First off, see my old posts about totally revamping chemistry, giving teams things to do to repair chemistry, VAs to boost chemistry, that have been posted from season to season. Chemistry as it is blows, needs to be fixed.

But lacking that, lets at least make it be less of a long term problem.

Extend the two point per day recovery to 100 from 70.

Take half a season off the penalty.

Right now if you change half your roster, or 22 guys, on Day 42, then your team is still suffering from 10 to 21% reduction to the performance of one or both squads for Game 1 of the next season, and still as much as a 1% hit for game TEN.

Consider that teams will pay millions of dollars for such a 1% boost and can only do it twice a season because it is so powerful, does it REALLY make sense that for what in GLB is a every season occcurence for many teams the penalty is TEN TIMES HIGHER on game day and lingers around for 60% of the season - ruining the teams chances at playoffs and ensuring high turnover again the next season?

Whereas if you just extend the 2 points per day to 100, then the penalty on day one is still a ridiculously over powered 6-12% but at least its goes away entirely by Game 4, only ruining a fifth of the season and still giving the team some hope of making the playoffs.

I mean come on, in a real NFL situation, that would be the equivalent of spending over 90 days in Mini Camp,Training camp, preseason and mid season practices, and playing scrimmages as well as 4 preseason games, 3 regular season games together.

Thats enough time together not to be penalized.

+1 this idea to reduce the impact of the idiocy of chemistry

This dots flex depend on it!

The math here is all wrong by the way

If your overall chemistry is 80% and your offense is 100% the average is 90% and you have a 1% penalty

If 1% was all that it was cracket up to be then teams using the mini helmet promo would win all the time but they don't

Stop crying wolf all the time and fix your AI's and builds

With every team ive owned, ive had pretty bad chem the following season, usually by game 2 or 3 it was back up over 90. Like someone said early, if your smart enough to adapt to the hit, it won't effect you, if your not, well then you got some catching up to do.

For example, todays game - opposing team is higher effective level by 2 levels, higher average player value, and part of an effective network so likely well coached.

But their chemistry is shot, they have a 1.3% net penalty from chemistry compared to mine (1.8 v .5 roughly).

70+ point romp for my team.

Meanwhile, Bhall's buddies on the Golden Cows have lost 5 games including two against evenly matched foes - difference? The Cows 72 Cemistry.

Fair?

Logical?

Fun?

Chemistry needs to be seriously revisited as per the OP, or more so.

eh...combination of being older players vs. younger and more stellar builds, having a really slow defensive secondary built on the premise that KL was a great idea and 140 speed guys could run with 160 speed dudes, and just not great coordinating efforts.

Sure chemistry is making our efforts look more abysmal. But that isn't the reason we are losing.

chem is good as is. I've dealt with it in a tough way with my cas pro team this season...part of the price of big roster turnover.
Don't change a thing IMO

This post sums it up. All teams with huge roster turnover knows what to expect. And there is no real reason to make changes to chemistry except for the OPs attempt to help slow the chemistry hit on his own teams due to not doing a better job as a owner
