Utter and TOTAL FAIL.... having been in business (successfully, might I add)... for a long time.... if anybody is stupid enough to believe the above you will never succeed...

The Customer is everything in a business... nothing else matters.... you may not always want to cater to a customer, but you always, and i mean ALWAYS, find a way to placate them, and never prove them "wrong"

LMAO.. ok.. so you've totally proved what my point on what I was trying to say with that post. Do me a favour and point me to the thread where he thought something WAS a good idea...

So rather than everybody with a "Coordinator" (Bugs, Forums etc) circling the wagons, providing one line answers, or trying to be as vague as humanly possible...

Tell me WHY you think this isnt a good idea... what are the negatives, downfalls etc?

Otherwise it comes across like my 5 yr old folding up his hands, stomping his foot, and saying" NO! BECAUSE I SAID SO"...
but that works, because he is 5, yeah?

I understand there are a lot of "kids" on this game, but there are a lot more of us who are adults..

More importantly adults WITH CASH..... you know.. the ones that spend money on services like these... and as such nothing closes up my wallet than closed minded upper echelon....

Maybe you missed it, but read above........

Nothing makes me shake my head harder in amazement than people that just offer suggestions or nonstop complaints simply because they like seeing themselves post.

BTW, the mods and coordinator "tags" have nothing to do with this..... this is a discussion among adult paying customers and with the cash I have spent on this game I certainly have that right, tag or no tag.

OK, this suggestion is a bit silly to me.

TBH, I wish they would get rid of half of the popups asking me "are you sure?" when I click to do something.

Mistakes are a part of life and mistakes in any game are a part of it.

No matter how you spin it, it is not Bort's responsibility, nor obligation, to hold everyone's hand and cater to their every whim.

]What's next? Bort, my players build sucks, can I have a redo and get back all my SP to redo them?

Next people will be going to a restaurant, ordering a steak and after eating it telling the hostess that they really didn't want the steak after all, could they have an undo and get the shrimp instead...... if you make the mistake, be man enough to live up to it and accept the consequences and stop blaming the games creator because YOU screwed up.

Tay... the thing is.. it doesnt MATTER "whats next"... the suggestion relates to an UNDO button relating to one aspect of the game... drawing it to an assumption of what may be asked next is completely irrelevant.

This is not a restaurant... there is non actual product being delivered here... but rather an "experience"

Real life has errors, but as has been pointed out by countless Mods etc.. THIS IS NOT REAL LIFE... hence we can have things like UNDO buttons...

Nobody BLAMED Bort.. but this suggestion is worthy of discussion.... in some instances you have seen a mass of people posting here who could see a functional use for this.. even some of the guys who are arguing have shown that they do indeed see a use for this...

So whats the problem....? You worried about creating more work for the game's creator so that his customers may get a better experience?

Is Bort such a hard guy to make suggestions to?
I dont get it

LOL.. sorry... you bugger! you posted your explanation AFTER I posted that

With Great Tags, comes great responsibility my friend.... now THATS real life...

and you are right.. I'm not disputing your right, or opinion even.. All I'm asking is provide some insight into why in your opinion this would be so terrible to put forward as a reasonable suggestion...

You do realize this thread started 7 months ago and received very little support, right?

Take away the arguing back and forth and the bumps and it would still be on page 1.

As for your comment... nothing is wrong with making suggestions as long as you are OK with people disagreeing with them.

I mentioned earlier how I feel the constant popup boxes asking "are you sure?" everytime I want to do something is highly annoying.

Adding more to that would add to that.

So as with most things, it may help some and it may annoy others. In the end, does it help or hurt the overall game experience for the majority though?

Yeah... I think it had more to do with the person who proposed it, and complete disregard by the wider GLB community in regards to whats good for the game....

I'm not saying this particular suggestion is... all I'm saying is that everywhere I look, the suggestions, bugs etc are not being weighed for their potential impact, but rather on "emotional baggage"

I'm putting my opinion forward because I do like this game, and would like to see it continue...

BUT.. how can that happen? As mentioned before.. this game is an experience.. and if you dont cater to the customer, or at very least hear them out and propose solutions you get what we have here...

A declining player base, people playing so long as they still have any flex points left... I dont see a lot of new agents with 100 players etc... Rookie league is filled with us re-treads too...

Anyways thats completely off-track.. and in truth Borts problem, not mine...

I dont mind when people disagree, as long as there is a thought out reason behind it.... thats the only way solutions and progress is made...

and this may improve the experience for some new players who have no idea what a "good piece" is vs an "average piece".. so for example they would be able to post "Hey I got +2 Catching YAY!!!.." and then get the response that this isnt as good as they think it is.... to which they can go and undo, as opposed to being stuck with it.... and thus many believe their player is a "waste" etc...

meh.. anyways.. its just a thought

If you worked at restaurant, you'd realize this happens way more than you could ever imagine.

I stand by what I said. You may not be willing to say it out loud to anyone, but you know you've thought it from time to time. And if you do actually believe that the customer is always right, does that mean you give in to their every demand?

Spartan... mate.... the customer IS ALL-FARKING-WAYS right period..

the challenge of being good in business is figuring out new ways of making them either see things your way, solutions or get buy-in to your thinking..

Give you a real life example... when we were starting out years ago we sold a power-drill to a customer... he makes contact, and says that despite the fact that he received the drill for 1/2 price of what he could get at any store his main beef was that it was green.... yes.. the colour green.....in the ad.. it was blue.....

Is he a motherfuck for wasting my time... absolutely.. BUT.. if I ignore what he is saying, dont offer him ways that we could fix his issue (in this case refunded him) its a bigger drain on 1) my time, and 2) he will tell more potential customers to stay away...(bad experience 11 people, good experience shared with 1... Marketing 101)

Do I think this guy is an utter tool... yes but quietly....very very quietly, as he continues to regularily buy from me almost a decade on, and has recommended me to other people who do the same....and I'm sure they have recommended me further

In business.. the guy paying for your product is KING... period. you give in to their demands as much as possible and try and talk your way out of the rest when you can....

Ego and Pride are just a waste of time as they are both always broke
