9 new teams is pretty nuts though. That a record? Seems like teams were selling left and right. Hopefully, some of the new teams can go enter some of the tons of tournaments around to knock around other regions.

I think our first season (Season 6) had a ton of turnover too. Not sure if it was this much though. Regardless, I think only a handful of those teams are still here (Lincoln, MEM, HHW, us).

Bort did make the call but it was only after SEVERAL seasons of pm's. The biggest factor was explaining how the competition wasn't there in the Conf/League we we're in. Not saying that OPL isn't a good region because they're are many good players in Oceania but going 74-1 in last few seasons would put anyone to sleep.

C'mon, islander1, that's a little unfair. The fact is that there should be a World League to take care of this in which the top Pro teams promote to. Unfortunately, there isn't and the alternative for more competition is to ask to be placed in a more competitive league.

To be honest, if Season 8 weren't so boring with the I-Slam-A-Thon, Season 9 would've been the worst season ever (for me anyways). It was weird, very weird, to be more excited about scrimmages than the season.

In other news: I'm surprised the USA Pro Dotball Crybaby-Meter hasn't been updated since May23rd.
