I still can't understand, how Bort & Co didn't realize that DEs would be even more fucked this season, than they've ever been before, because of the loss of attribute VAs.

Any decent OT I knew, had their VAs in Strength and Blocking, not Speed/Agility. While basically every DE had their points in Track Star and Quick.

So basic math would tell you, that DEs would be losing a ton of Speed/Agility, while OTs wouldn't be losing any.

Just goes to show you how much they care.

But wait.. They gave DEs Pass Rusher....that doesn't even work as much as Pass Blocker for Olineman.

Obviously they wanted everyone to take Slow Starter instead

Again, find 10(down from 20) DEs putting up good sack numbers in a league vs. equal level players with no gutted teams.(or that have not played a gutjob)

Are you asking for AAA/Pro or for any leagues outside of BBB? Because I've already shown you one

Well, I mean he could post 10 DEs from BBB but he'd be laughed at.

On a side note, I didn’t have to look real hard to find these guys.

USA AAA #1
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=119968

USA AAA #1
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=251068

USA AAA #2
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26316

African Pro League
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=134364

African AAA #1
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=405585

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=379574

And this is just scratching the surface, but I am not going any further. You want more. look it up yourself

Blabblablablala, I don´t even bother looking at these posts anymore. I would seriously bet my account that at least half those guys did all their damage vs gut jobs or in blowouts.

Have the ones that have the problems with there defensive ends ever thought about taking a long hard look at there players build or actually doing some homework to find out what works and what doesn’t

Have the people who use the same retarded argument ever thought that maybe they have. What would you say is a build that SHOULD work?

Well you just keep thinking along those lines and while my guy records 30+ sacks {again} we can discuss the definition of retarded. Learn how to build a player for this game and you will be fine

Your DE hasn't had any close games whatsover. Your closest game was a 30 point win.

again! This thread quotes numerous agents who have stated they cant get there level 1000 guy to get a sack against an inferior level. So that has no bearing on anything

Again, find 10(down from 20) DEs putting up good sack numbers in a league vs. equal level players with no gutted teams.(or that have not played a gutjob)

EDIT: which really isn't all that hard. Also, can't have more 1 from a single league.

USA Pro

These are all sacks against non-gutted competition. I removed a couple of DE's that had sacks against gutted teams.

Sack Happy, DE, Detroit Demon Lions 7 sacks in 6 games
Matt Maxwell, DE, Over The Rhine Red Dots 7 sacks in 6 games
Ken Cote, DE, Washington Bullets 6 sacks in 6 games
The Freak, DE, Detroit Demon Lions 6 sacks in 6 games
Huckleberry Hound, DE, Las Vegas Gamblers 6 sacks in 6 games
Pig Pen, DE, Northwest Arkansas Naturals 6 sacks in 6 games
Reggie Whitehead, DE, Las Vegas Gamblers 6 sacks in 6 games
Max Alexander, DE, Over The Rhine Red Dots 5 sacks in 6 games
Julius Dee, DE, Alpine Golfers 4 sacks in 6 games
Eugene Fluckey, DE, Washington Wolfpack 4 sacks in 6 games
Anthony Risotti, DE, Texas Roughnecks 4 sacks in 6 games
Myron Sardukis, DE, Columbus Woodys 4 sacks in 6 games
Gus Schenevar, DE, Detroit Demon Lions 4 sacks in 6 games
L.Y. Spear, DE, Washington Wolfpack 4 sacks in 6 games

14 players on pace for 10+ sacks or more for the season.

# of DE's in the NFL last season that had more than 10 sacks ---- 8

You know I've done a lot to help the DE/OT interaction and there is still some stuff being done to improve it, but for people to say that sack numbers are unrealistic right now is completely off base.

Nothing to do with whther or not a level 32 is a legit player or not. Merely that players at lower levels automatically get to go up against bad builds, which renders the argument "my dt is a level 32 and he´s doing great" meaningless.

They really need to just not even record stats in games with a difference in score of, say, over a hundred.

Then I'd set my AI to punt whenever we're winning by 94+.

A lot of teams would

Maybe in games where winning margin is higher than 50 the stats aren't recorded. Would balance out trophy races.

I could go for 50, only reason I said 100 is because I could see the very slim possibility of a game between two teams actively trying to win where the score could maybe possibly be 50 or more ahead.

Regardless of what the actual number, total blowouts shouldn't contribute stats. It should be like the game never happened, it was a by.

I think people are saying they're unrealistic to the number of plays being called in a sim.

Sims usually have 2x more plays called in a game than an NFL season, so wouldn't you realistically expect 2x the sacks?

Did you look at competition?

Did you stop to consider that USA Pro accounts for about 0.05% of the game and for many reasons results there cannot be generalized to GLB as a whole?

Hazy, you know that your efforts are much apprecaited, but why the fuck are we aiming for numbers for DEs??!!! Why aren´t we aiming for 1000-1600 yds for the best HBs?

10 sacks a season?

is that what we're shooting for? really?

so the elite DEs will get 10 sacks?

what will the average DEs get? 2?

How many DEs do you know, that are willing to boost, for 2 sacks a season?

Or even better, when does anyone EVER compare GLB RBs or QBs to NFL stat-lines? Why doesn't that ever work?

Hey check out my lvl 32 RB - he has almost 3 thousand yards already.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=988636

But for some reason, all of those numbers are ok, but DEs get compared to the NFL?

Makes no sense at all. There is no realism in this game, especially this season with the ridiculous scoring. But again, great DEs are only supposed to have 10 sacks.

The average GLB game runs twice as many plays as a regulation 4-quarter NFL game.

The game will never simulate football (at any level) until the number of plays per game comes down. Until then we'll keep having average RBs get 2500 yards and 25 TDs per season and crap like that.

Wow, that was a ridiculous argument.

That is weird though, because Hazy seemed to be on the DEs side.

Sounds Ken1 got into his ear.
