Judah Lions....my very first player joined their team in season 3. I retired him because he was garbage. Went against all advice and got a team with no GM experience. 76 wins and 4 loses later here I am with you season 1 vets in OPL.
I was thinking it was Judah. I believe that your player was a safety, too. I would hardly call the Nites Season 1 vets. We had absolutely no idea what we were doing until after our first season was over. Also, winning in OPL is much much harder than winning in AAA and below. We came into OPL on a wild winning streak, but eventually felt the sting of the meat grinder.

Yes I was a safety.

I looked at the way the levels worked and took speed and agility to 48. Then worked on vision.

I was benched at safety because back then a safety didn't need vision/agility he needs speed and supervision!

I was backup to Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano.

It may have been me. I honestly do not remember. I was the DC though. The Lions made it to the playoffs every season after that one and won at least one playoff game in every season but Season 6. They advanced to the conference championship in both Season 4 and Season 7 (losing both times). They were bumped up to AA after Season 5 and up to AAA after Season 7, but the team was sold back early this season for multiple reasons (mostly a lack of time by the owner and GMs).

GG Sun Devils. Half of the team may not have known that you guys were the Heat, but that game was sure like one of the many great "cross-town rivalry" games we've had in the past, very very hard fought.

Nice job Mean Machine. I wasn't expecting a win, but I didn't expect that kind of an ass pounding.
