I just think the 1 year deals is asking for trouble.

One of the reasons why I have the Benitos and Invaders at the top is that they not only bring in the free agents, but they secure their players for the long term - much better than Halifax, the Evil Monkeys, or even Beans.

Stability of a franchise is important in my view of these rankings.

As if we want anything to do with any of SI's rankings.

But regardless, while you bend over and cram dots up your ass so you can think you're the greatest owner in the history of GLB, we realize that IT IS A GAME and that people want to have fun. If they want to stay on Dryden, they are welcome to stay. If they want to leave, we trade or release them. I know it's a difficult concept for you to grasp, SI, but maybe if you release some of that inner self-hate and your desperate need to feel accepted in an online game, you might actually be able to enjoy the dots.

Heh -- lots of hate projected while you preach dotlove. I dig it.

14.) Drinkin - gained his fame from radio program and being super active in CPL as opposed to being an attention whore like SI. The only obstacle to the team's success is now out of the way with the demise of the Hobos. Should be battling the Sucka Frees for CPL West crowns for many seasons.

I'm pretty sure Stobie was famous after he had a SS that played for Lincoln.

That's a reason why you don't see disgruntled players leaving Dryden while you do see disgruntled players TRYING to leave Adriana.

You see the videon on youtube of those dots brawling in SI's lockerroom because some were trying to fight their way out while the others were trying to keep them in? It's a great vid but very violent.(BTW there is no such vid...in case someone missed that I was joking)

You have no idea what you are talking about.

And Wanderererer-

If I had $100 mil in the bank from season 2 and 3 exploits, then I wouldn't mind paying out $1-2 million for a player and then having them walk out the door. Only about 20 teams in the game can afford to do that and we aren't one of them. I bet you couldn't last 1 season if you were in my shoes.

Also Wanderer-

You always say you don't care about my posts, yet you always come in and read them......why???

Can you just ignore them? Gotta prove how great of an owner you are??

What exploit? Winning titles early and hosting 11 playoff games in the first three seasons? Being good is an exploit now?

Good to know.

In fact, if Asheme decided to leave Dryden, your team is over.

That's a silly statement. I'll let you think about why.

So maybe you should just talk about teams that you know something about. You know nothing about how to run a team that doesn't have Asheme or $100 mil in the bank. It is a much different game and alot more SERIOUS otherwise.

Maybe it was knowing how to run a team that led to having $100M in the bank? Hmmmm?

We all know that the pricing of tickets and concessions were screwed up in those seasons and led to way more profit than any seasons since.

Sure, the upper limit was way high, something ridiculous like 5x. But you had your team then, too, and that excuse is usually reserved for people who didn't buy a team until S3 or so. So, um...yeah, you had your chances.

As I explained, it was mostly from having you on the team and being in the Pros before I had a team I think.

Being 3 or 4 levels higher than us when the team levels were the 20's makes it alot easier. Or maybe it was pure genius? One or the other. Enjoy those wins.

FYI, you are 0-3 in your last 3 games us since we caught up in levels:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=204222 (season 5 playoffs where we knocked you out)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=211358 (season 6)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=289754 (season 7)

Wouldn't a good owner prevent you from losing to a "shitty" team like the Beans?

(you were better than us back in seasons 1,2,3,4 though - I'll give you that).

I was in Western Europe AA with a group of severely underleveled players and still trying to do the whole "keep the team together thing". Unfortunately (as Bayou and others proved....levels do matter).

So if you don't get in early and buy a ton of high level players (see Asheme), then this game is very different for everyone else. We just can't keep status quo. Our roster is 80%+ different than it was in season 2. We had no shot at a playoff exploit like you. I had to build my team from the ground up and upgrade 1 or 2 levels at a time.
