Judge it by this then...

You're right, judging a game by the final score would be silly. Let's just go with the 1Q. Actually you may be on to something, OU led Texas at the end of the 1Q.

Yes, I think my point about Mizzou holding them to 10 was very significant considering how terrible Mizzou's defense is. Who cares what the final score is in a blowout game that a stronger team is supposed to win? I'm not even going to address your ridiculous comment about the game in which Texas beat BlowU by double digits.

Did you have something constructive to add or are you just going to sit there and be a homer?

I don't care if their defense is ranked 131 out of 119, a team that is 9-3 and plays in the Big 12 is "good". They're not great, they're not the super best team ever; they're good. And there's only one homer here. I could give a fuck if the entire states of Texas and Oklahoma got swallowed up by a tornado.

No. Mizzou plays in the Big 12 North. Just because they got to the championship game doesn't mean they are good.

He'll use it as a reason to justify OU being in the NC. Although he knows deep down in his heart if Texas beat OU then Texas should probably be more worthy.

No, they really aren't McGrai. Try watching the Big 12 games...none of them try to play defense, they just try to outscore their opponents. There are 8 Big 12 teams in the top 25 in passing offense and 7 in the top 25 in scoring offense, that should tell you how shitty the defenses are there.

ffs. who cares if your defense sucks and you only win because of your offense? stop drooling over old nfl films shows about the steel curtain or purple people eaters. if you win 3/4 of your games and play in one of the bcs conferences not named the big east, you are a good team. unless you guys think there's only about 12 good teams in the nation that is.

When you play a game where you actually have to play defense then we'll see if you're singing the same tune.

Well, the problem there is, once you face a team of equal or greater talent with a strong offense and a very good defense, you are fucked.

OU sets two NCAA Records....

1) First team in NCAA to score 60+ points in 5 consecutive games (You have to go back 89 years to find the last team to do it 4 times).

2) Most Points Scored, Single Season FBS History
Seas Team Points
2008 Oklahoma 702
2006 Hawaii 656
1983 Nebraska 654
2005 Texas 652

"Oklahoma had 627 yards of offense and 39 first downs. The Sooners were 12-for-16 on third down and 9-for-9 in the red zone. They scored on 10 of their 11 possessions and led 38-7 at the half. " Mark Schlabach of ESPN.COM

You can talk all the trash you want about OU, but the records prove that there has been no offense as explosive as OU in the history of the NCAA.

Did you all want a hit of the pipe or something, since you brought it up?

Let the trolling and flames commence, meanwhile.....

I've got to start thinking about what I'm going to take to the BCS National Championship game.

Stoops is all class. Way to leave your starters in for 60 minutes so you can break records Bobby!

Texas isn't worried about records, only winning football games. Mack actually takes his starters out when the game is no longer in doubt. There is nothing more ironic than seeing Sooner fans call out Coach Brown for being classless this season.

Oh, and since you like to look up records so much could you do a book report on the amount of time each of those team's starters were in and how often they ran up the score when it wasn't necessary? My guess is you will see a vast difference between the 2005 numbers for Texas and your beloved Sooners. Any statistics you could provide in that area might shed some interesting light on this amazing accomplishment ou has achieved.
