How can we not know....you tell us in about every 3rd or 4th post. We'll see how you do in the playoffs. And why do you need the backing of TenTwo to back up your postings? Not confident enough to stand on your own words? Or not smart enough? Reguardless, we are in the other conference, and we'll both have to make that final game to settle this...

That is so right on. I have to sift through a half dozen posts of you telling us how you just beat the crap out of a CPU team that hasn't won a game yet, just so I can find someone saying something intelligent. Oh, and what's all this talk about running trains on guys, and bending over, etc.? Personally, I think you have some sort of gay fetish thing going on, which is cool. Some of you might go that way. However, from my perspective you lack respect for your fellow players and you lack class. All of the talk adds up to nothing, so it isn't a subsitute for confidence.

If your team really is that good then I take my hat off to you. When you score your touchdowns, be like Barry Sanders. Simply flip the ball to the Back Judge and jog to the sidelines. Act like you've been there before. That's the mark of a champion. Making a spectacle of yourself is more like Chad Johnson, putting yourself ahead of the team.

Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of this forum. Trash talking is for THAT forum. Press releases about your super team is for THAT forum. THIS forum is for players, owners, coordinators in BBB#10 to communicate. If the extent of your communication is "we rule, you guys suck" your message has been received about 10 pages ago.

Hey BD...the Piggies are hanging in there after we let the Salukis squeak by at the last second and then got treated like a drunk prom date by the Cajuns. We have a fairly easy game this "week" and then the Outlaws....so hoping we can keep them down like we did in the playoffs last year against them.

Your Bears were doing well until SGA got ya...yikes. We have you the 21st then SGA the 23rd....I'm hoping we have a playoff spot locked up before that stretch of games.

QFT....the true test is if they come back and eat their crow once they do lose.

But they probably think they brought in enough higher level people (to an expansion leagues) that that will not happen to them. Only time will tell.

I don't have a problem with the trash talking...that is what creates rivalries and makes the game more interesting. I do however agree, eso & PAC, that the two Badlands posters are complete idiots and need to not log-on during the day while their 4th grade teacher isn't looking.

Agreed about the playoff spot - EEAAA2 is a tough league. Hopefully you and I will get by some of the tougher teams and meet in the post-season. GL.

An educated man would realize that it is grammatically incorrect to address a team (Badlands) as needing an education when you only claim two members of the team to be idiots.

As proprietor and leader of Badlands, I know that boasting will generate much resentment among our peers, but I won't discourage my Men from displaying their pride. As you say, this game needs rivalries and flavor.

Champions aren't required to be humble, but they do need thick skin. A Champion won't be rattled by the trash-talking rival. He will however feel great satisfaction when he silences that rival on the field.

TenTwo may use colorful language and analogies, but he and the others are solid players that have earned the right to boast.

I know that we have a huge bullseye on our back, and if we should lose down the road, I will be the first Man to acknowledge our defeat and congratulate our victors.

A man may have his preferences towards humility or pride, but ultimately basic respect for yourself and your opponent is the mark of a true gentleman and sportsman. The uncertainties of life are legion, and the man who sneers at those below him may one day find himself in their position. As Thucydides wrote, "I count no man happy until I see how he has died." Great fortune means little to a man if it ends in disaster.

As a result, I prefer myself and my players to be as gentlemanly and sportsmanlike as they can be. Athletic competition is a noble pursuit - testing both body and mind, pushing the limits of human accomplishment as individuals and as a group.

I am honored to compete against each and every owner and player here.

Thrash, you have not been the one using less than "decent" analogies!
I do not mind the boasting or telling others they suck stuff, but the analogies he is using takes the talk in a bad direction. "Colorful" is one way to put it, sick and disturbing are a few others!
Trash talk is good, but stay above the sewer line, if only barely or this thread will deteriorate to being locked by an admin.

Excellent post....even if I don't agree with all of it; it's well thought out, phrased and clarifies your points.

But to be totally honest, being a true Penn State fan, I can't like anyone that's a FSU fan....nope, not gonna happen

I have one thing to say and this is directed at no one in particular. My posts which largely consist of "my team is great, everyone else is second class" in as many discriptive and sometimes offensive ways as I can. I do this to create rivalries, give the other teams something to shoot for, and pump up my guys' egos.

One thing I don't do, however, is single anyone out. I don't attack anyone's character and I don't do any labeling or name calling. I haven't done that in about 15 years. I think at this point in my life I am above that. When someone lashes back and bashes my intellegence, class or whatever, I don't take it too seriously. I'll match my IQ, salary, education background, whatever you want, with anyone in here. If you got me beat good on you. Also, for you English majors, I know when I am using incorrect grammer. I do it intentionally, so don't bother insulting my intelligence.

I enjoy getting people like grooveskipinc riled up, and for the most part I like his retorts. He at least has a sense of humor and an ounce of creativity. For those who want to cry about everything, well, that's your problem I guess. The trash talking forum is garbage because it isn't BBB#10 exclusive. If it was, I'd put my posts there. The truth is, my posts have created a lot of interest for this forum (I'm willing to bet), and as long as you are man enough to take this "idiot's" rants with a grain of salt you should be able to retaliate with a little more creativity and a little less hostility.

...and by the way, my team is better than yours, in case you forgot.

You are going to have to prove it against real talent. I know you have heard it before but I am not pumping my chest because I haven't played anyone. We are 5-1 and our 1 loss came before we had a full human starting roster. We are currently at the top or close to the top in all statistical categories. I would say that we have more of a right to say that we are the real team to beat in the West. I guess the East also but we are not paying much attention to them. They are all pretty much the same at this time. It just so happens that the West looks to have the best and the worst teams in the whole conference. It is just our better is better then your better.
