Like you guys said, it's a pretty basic concept of limiting the roster to 20 guys, so I don't think it would take too much effort to set up. I kinda wanted to gauge the real interest level first, though, before diving into it.

Put me down for a team then

this would defintely keep me around for seasons to come. Still iffy bout the new cap system so the Ironman league would add a new element and excitement to being on GLB

Seems reasonable to me.

Haole, I like the idea, but I don't know about having to create dots from scratch. I mean, Iron Dots clearly will need different builds than regular dots, so neither will be viable in each others' sims (for example, a WR that you play at CB might invest in the Super Vision and Shutdown Coverage SA's, and put points in them; or an Iron Dot will invest much more into stamina that normal).

If Bort is going to test this, I think maybe people should get to create level 40 dots for the trial seasons. The leagues and players can always be scrapped when the interest level is gauged and the kinks are revealed, then re-introduced.

On that point, maybe you select a player to be an Iron Dot at creation (like the selection of a "hardcore" mode in video game).

You could make them follow entirely different leveling rules (just going to throw out some crazy ideas here):

-Start at level 40
-Start with 400 BT (allows customization of 2 pieces of AEQ)
-35 Veteran Points (about right?)
-Level Up every game (+5 SP)
-Training Disabled (not really important, but might simplify balancing)
-At season's end, player resets to base level 40 with 400 BT and no EQ
-HOWEVER, player gains permanent bonuses to attributes based on performance of the previous season
-Players start decline after 5 seasons to balance out attribute gains

Maybe this whole thing could be a suggestion of it's own, but seems like something that could tie into Iron Leagues, so I threw it out there

I dont want too much getting in the way of a trial season happening, so for now just throw a league together, make it a Level 4 Hard cap, and lets get on with it.

Give it a season, see what happens, then start looking at if its viable to spend time adding a whole new game within a game for GLB at that point in time.

If anything the easiest thing would be to have EVERY dot in the 'Iron Man League' Trial be awarded a Season Long Endorsement piece thats unique to that league, fairly powerful to mimic an advanced build, without needing any adjustments to the coding or forcing Dots to be Wiped after a season or two.

The obvious Money spinning Idea would be for Bort to create an Iron Man Scrimmage for this offseason.
Then Add a Iron Man Roster Tab so we all dont have to mess about with our Depth Charts etc.

I'm guessing that would burn through the Flex pretty quick and show how many people are interested in the concept, even before they can build Dots for it.

As this would essentially be a private or locked league it would seem they could get more support if they broaden the idea to include private leagues with a set of options when setting them up, one of which being an Iron Man option. I know this is on the NGTH list, but they are essentially making an exception already for Iron Man Leagues why not just open it completely up. Definite money maker if people have to both pay for their team plus an additional fee to join the private league, but I think it would be very popular.
