This league is a lot closer than many people want to think. I enjoy the trash talking but our conference champ could have 3 L's come playoff time.

We have 2 really tough games against EZ and seattle still and any of the teams could bit us along the way.

And the East looks really tough as well... They look to have two or three teams as good as any in the West.

You're kidding yourself. I don't see how win win another game this season. Our only hope rests on our ability to woo SAVAGE OPS and his mom's credit card over to the good guy's side.

Not that many care.. buuuuuut.. this week's Toilet Bowl betwen the Maine Hawks and the New Orleans Poison was actually a hard fought defensive battle for both teams.

With 6:29 left in the first, Poison corner Casey Townsend picked off a pass on the Hawk's on the first play after a punt to give the Poison the ball on the Hawk's 23 yard line.

Poison kicker Rick Olson missed his first opportunity to put the Poison on the board at 5:19 left in the 1st by botching a 34 yard FG.

However, after a 3 and out by the Hawk's, the poison marched from their 22 yard line to the 8 of the Hawks but could not get it into the endzone. Rick Olson redeemed himself at 14:57 in the 2nd when he nailed a 25 yarder to put the Poison up 3-0.

Both team's punters earned their paychecks until 11:35 in the 4th when Hawk's kicker Ticker Kicker put one through from 30 to tie the score at 3 apiece and this is how regulation would end.

During overtime, the teams traded the ball back and forth three times before Hawk's kicker Ticker Kicker had a chance to end it. However, he gave the Poison one last opportunity by missing a 34 yard field goal.

The Poison began on their own 20 and on 3rd and 5, Poison running back Jamaal Jackson took a pass from a hurried Ryan Hollister and looked to take it upfield. As Jackson met the first down marker, Hawk's outside LB Vincent Terse hit Jackson hard, causing him to lose the ball and fellow Hawk's teammate, Strong Safety Terd McGleamysack, picked up the ball on the Poison 28 yard line.

3 plays later, on 4th and 4.5, Hawk's kicker Ticker Kicker hit a 39.5 yard FG to win the game for the Hawks.

Both teams put up 194.5 yards of offense against one another and each kept their opponent to under 100 yards rushing.

It may have been a game between two teams with bad records.. but it was one helluva game. And yes.. Im bored and drinking.. thats why I took the time to write this up. Great game Hawks.. even if our teams aren't the best in the league.

Close games are the best! I can't wait for the leagues to even out a bit more so we can have more games like that one.
