OK, had an meeting get canceled this afternoon, so I had a choice, add the east, or actually work. So here are the 1st combined rankings. Been pretty quiet so far, lets see if we can get some conference rivalry going.

(quick and dirty, no write-up)

Rank ........Team........ Ranking
1 ........Gary Gangstaz ........ 29.11
32 ........South Bend ShamRockers ........ 3.76

And guess what two teams play each other this week?

We basically got to have an LOL-fest with this match-up. It let us try out some crazy tactics.

The Lincoln Freedom Warriors are riding some stifling Defense to a very good winning streak...After yesterday's games, that streak stands at 5. No team has scored over 7 points on us in that winning streak, and no team has scored more than 20 on us all season...

FYI - the power ranking are going to be delayed because I forgot to email the spreadsheet home, and I'm not going to spend my whole day off recreating it.

Should be up tomorrow morning.

The rankings have been adjusted again, this time we have added some more emphasis to the offensive and defensive point differentials. I think this version is the closest to what we are seeing in the game so far. I think we need a way to better represent what has happed recently and there are still a couple things I’m trying out, but for now here are the Rankings after the Week 8 games.

#1 – Farkistan Squirrels (8-0, Rank 37.03)

Farkistan regains the top spot despite a nail biter win due to the new emphasis on point differential. This week they look to continue their run of domination against a slumping Ducks squad.

#2 – Gary Gangstaz (8-0, Rank 36.66)

Their dominant win over the Shamrockers wasn’t enough to impress the computer due to the hit their strength of schedule took. A win in this week’s game of the week vs. the once defeated Niagara Rapids may put them back on top.

#3 – Niagara Rapids (7-1, Rank 34.53)

A tough strength of schedule and great point differential puts this team in the #3 spot. The schedule doesn’t get any easier this week as they run into the #2 ranked Gary Gangstaz.

#4 – Austin Breakers (8-0, Rank 34.32)

The weakest SOS in BBB#7 has the Breakers looking up at 2 – 1 loss teams. A win vs. a tough LA team this weekend will go a long way toward proving this team is for real and deserving of a higher ranking.

#5 - Atlanta Purple Penguins (6-2, Rank 30.25)

Another team benefiting from the revisions to the rankings, the point differential vaults them into the #5 spot despite a loss to the Spirit last week. Houston is up next, another letdown may send this team tumbling down the board.

Contenders

#6 – LA Chupacabras (7-1, 29.99)
#7 – The State of Texas Domination (6-2, 29.70)
#8 – Atlanta Ducks (6-2, 28.47)
#9 – Lincoln Freedom Warriors (6-2, 26.14)
#10 – Louisville Baby Kittens (6-2, 26.10)

In the Hunt

#11 – Austin Alcoholics (6-2, 23.52)
#12 – Texas Two Step (5-3, 22.83)
#13 – Anchorage Vikings (4-4, 21.48)
#14 – Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals (4-4, 21.33)
#15 – Appalachian Lycans (5-3, 21.04)

On the playoff Bubble

#16 – Oakland Nation (4-4, 20.52)
#17 – Saginaw Spirit (4-4, 18.94)
#18 – Visalia Paraplegics (5-3, 18.75)
#19 – Killer Rabbits (4-4, 16.88)
#20 – Charlotte Panthers (3-5, 16.50)

Outside looking in

#21 – Houston Armageddon (3-5, 15.29)
#22 – Texas Tarheels (3-5, 14.71)
#23 – Washington State Whodat's (1-7, 10.34)
#24 – Las Vegas Outlaws (2-6, 9.73)
#25 – Jax Beach Juggernauts (2-6, 9.72)
#26 – Big Money Dynasty (2-6, 9.37)
#27 – Malibu Mels (1-7, 6.44)

Lucky there is no BB league

#28 – DFL Gods (0-8, 4.58)
#29 – Red Bank Thundercats (2-6, 4.33)
#30 – San Diego Aztecs (0-8, -0.78)
#31 – South Bend ShamRockers (0-8, -1.37)
#32 – Richmond Empire (0-8, -1.69)

Niagara lucked out since our gameplan wasn't updated on the day of the game. The Gangstaz will be happy to smash their faces in next time we meet.

No need for excuses. It was a well played game that was decided in OT.

I did honestly screw up and forget to change our gameplan, how much it would have mattered I don't know.

We could handle it though. Handled it so well it went to OT, and could have just as easily gone our way.

On to our next game though.
