Strat-O-Matic began as a company in 1961...Richman later released a football game in 1968, an "advanced" baseball game in 1972, a basketball game in 1973, and a hockey game in 1978.

The baseball game is "re-released" every year, with only updates to the player's statistics and performance cards changing (like Madden). My dad bought me the game circa 1975, and I bought it for myself as an adult circa 1995 and there was virtually no difference in the game play mechanism. If you own the 1975 game, its still playable, as is any other "release" that the company came out with.

The "advanced" game debutted as merely the opposite side of the "card" mechanism that was used to play the original game. To this day, you can play either version.

And "to this day" you can play GLB1 or GLB2!

We get that folks like both games, that's why we support both games.
