Implement a profit sharing system so the other 11 people still playing that are opposed to insta 79s get a piece

Problem solved

are there 18 people left?

if you polled JUST this thread you would get what we always get anymore in GLB main, which is the usual suspects of 12-18 of the same posters.

Now if you actually played in the minors on more than just a farm team you would realize that there actually are hundreds of agents that still play this game at the minors level that NEVER post in main, or much less any of GLB public forums.

If you are gonna quit then just fucking do it, don't come with the "give me what I want or I'm gonna take my ball and go home" bullshit. You don't care about your 100K of flex and don't mind leaving it behind? Great, but no need to tell us about your cares, just fucking do it. Chsnge your password to sldjfiorhviofh772t1i , log out, and move on.

If you want to continue playing, build some rookie dots like everyone has always had to from the beginning of Alpha testing at GLB. Hell I just bought a Casual team, will be the 1st casual team I have owned since S23. Build a couple dots for my S44 rookie team and help teach me how to run casual AI's...maybe that will spark some interest on your part.

Make it so that no matter what day they build their dot, they are at no short or long-term disadvantage.

Make rosters smaller so that every player has more impact.

Expand the archetype system so that dots have traits that affect the salary you have to pay them.

Make a hard salary cap with no way to go over.

Make games happen 2/3 days instead of every other day.

Make the offseason no more than a week.

Make 100 a hard cap that you can't go over with ALGs or equipment, maybe just take out equipment.

In fact, take out ALGs because they make building entirely end-game dependent (even mid-level builds are fucked if they don't play the cap and train system correctly). In exchange for ALGs, give us 9 SP per level instead.

Probably take out training too and give 11 SP instead of the 9 previously mentioned.

Probably need to play with the SP caps at that point and make the cost of skills be based on a continuously progressive scale, but make the skills cheaper based on the traits you chose (instead of the ALGs from the archetype).

Balance the Special Abilities better so that LBers don't have such awful choices. Maybe just let us choose instead of giving us trees.

Make SA activations more clear with pop-ups the way you get with Spin, Surge, etc.

Maybe give more player specific attributes...

I don't know, I think those would all be advancements to this game that would make it easier for new players.

this is my feeling as well. i know there are MILLIONS of flex points just laying around this place. if people would build some dots, the game would pick back up again.

speed up the build process, but that would also speed up everyone leaving once they run out of flex

There's no place to leave to--there still isn't an online football sim that's better than GLB Classic. I'll be here so long as there are 32 teams left to play the game.

There are some really good ideas in this thread as there has been with others, although this one has the added benefit of Chef's posting. That said, until Bert or Cornblade decide to invest time into the game this is all moot. Its nice that it isn't being killed off completely, and maybe they just enjoy the low effort money. There are those of us who think this game made good progress and if more was done it would do very well, but unless some one who can actually affect change agrees with that sentiment, we are depressingly spinning our wheels. It is a shame because I am one of those who thought at the very moment this game started to become more fun and go to the next level, it seemed to be abandoned.

Yeah I don't buy the "speed up leaving" argument either. Nobody stays ONLY to burn up flex out of some feeling of obligation to get your money's worth or something (save for a couple of crazies anyway). They still enjoy some aspect of the game enough to use it up (even if they aren't buying more).

I think the goal of accelerating the build process would be to make the game more competitive and enjoyable for people still around, and perhaps it would have the side benefit of making some of the agents that are just using their flex up to buy more because the game has a little more life & is fun again.
