Most people joining GLB came from message boards and we came in the middle of the season and that wasn't a problem. Now Facebook, twitter and the likes are so big 6 years later that most message board members have dwindles with active users such as this one. There is no strategy to target new members. Where can you find new members? Facebook has it's own series of games and a lot look better than what GLB2 and the goofy karate game will bring.
GLB should thing what they can do to draw in new members, what do people still like and can use to their advantage? Fantasy football, betting games etc, that is where the money is at. Create a simulated NFL season year round with current players. Host fantasy football sim. When the real NFL season is over and the Die hard NFL junkies are looking for something beyond watching basketball, your game should be a hit.
Think outside the box and not what you like, it's what we like that pays the bills.
