Well Hell, if you people think that Bort is going to come into the forums, and listen to your passionate pleas to dump the deuce and GLBWWE and reinvent GLB to be the awesome game we all hoped it to be, I have some bad news for you. This isn't an episode of Community, or a Disney movie that a little speech by the main character will melt the hearts of the Evil developer and return him to his roots.

At this point, saying "Hi," and seeing if he has something coming out soon, that might interest me to finally blow the rest of my flex, is all that I really want out of him. But I can see your point in why would he want to come into this buzzsaw.

Where is all this talk about us begging him to dump 2.0 coming from?

It's amazing how so many can take a simple request and turn it into something completely unrelated to what I suggested.

I don't hate 2.0. I just don't give two shits about 2.0. I don't obsess about it nor do I discuss it very often. My focus is on this game. It's typically the people that play 2.0 that drag it into a thread like this that has nothing to do with 2.0. I hate to break it to ya, but most of us don't visit those boards, have a player over there, or even talk about the game unless someone else mentions it first. I cannot think of any other way to get it into your brains that 2.0 could go for a million years or be shut down right now and I wouldn't give a fuck either way.

There is no buzzsaw. It's another one of those lies perpetrated by his disciples to cover for him. He has been given the royal treatment any time he posts in the forums but his disciples revise history and regale us in tales of anger and woe. Their timeline of events is also horribly inaccurate. To hear them tell it, Bort was keeping touch with the userbase up until he hired Catch. Anyone that's been around knows that's a crock of shit. He had went silent long before that. And the comparisons to the bigger companies is also ridiculous. Part of the appeal of this tiny niche game was the accessibility of the dev and the admin staff.

Don't even get me started on how nothing was being done for this game for a long period of time and then a shitload of updates were rolled out right before 2.0's release. It was like a teenager that had been laid up in bed all day and hurried up and half-assed washed the dishes and vacuumed the floor 15 minutes before his parents got home from work.

Back when this game was more active I could handle having my intelligence insulted by the staff and the disciples of Bort. Now that the game is closing in on it's last breath there's no point in bullshitting us.

I would think that after him being "gone" this long, any thread he would be in would turn into a massacre.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, during the Q&A where Catch was a no show Bort hung out in the thread and it was good times. Not even a hint of a "massacre".
