New graphics? Do you really think we care about graphics
New build process? We've seen a few big changes to the build process here on classic over the years. The 2.0 build process may have some new attributes but with respec and no ALGs you can do whatever
Cost? Yes 2.0 costs more than classic and even classic is overpriced.
Team features? Nothing new and with the casual tactics and same old plays it is nothing to get excited about. The least they could have done was have play action, new plays etc..
Not sure what they were thinking about when looking at the big picture. Appealing to a broader audience and not the hardcore people seems to be the agenda but do they really expect the average person to drop $100+ making a few fantasy GLB2 players.
I agree. Like I said, there should have been a player builder 3.0. There should have been new SAs, new VAs, new Archetypes, faster "to plateau" times,
"Bort could have (and probably should have) done an expansion to GLB1 to keep it fresh. New SAs, new VAs, new archetypes, new formations, new sim options, quicker build times.... something to keep this game interesting for the player who likes building players, but who is bored."
Bort didn't do that. I think Bort got tired or jaded of this game, or decided that new features wouldn't bring in or keep customers. I don't know the financial reasons.
Re: GLB2:
I like the sim. I like that all of the SAs fire. I like how quick it is to change your AIs and strategy. I like some of the new aspects of building that go beyond the simple speed, strength, etc. of GLB1. I like the graphics (I know this isn't universal). There were people who really got into the ladder and the playoffs in GLB2. Some got butthurt due to bugs, some shrugged it off. The fact that it isn't a finished product gives me hope. The fact that GLB1 hasn't done anything interesting since season 25 makes it stale.
