GLB bans the fuck out of the majority of posters.

"haha! Look how dead the forums are!"

And holy fuck your posts about how great trolls are for the forums are so ironic because 2 days later you will be off your meds again crying about how you were trolled out of main. Lol

Here you argue but you don't really argue anything about the game being better. Let me be clear, a fresh look is not the same thing as a better game. So what is your damn point? The game is not better; it won't have as long as a shelf life which means Bort will have less time to put his "next" project out when it took him forever to develop a game that he already had the bones for from 1.0. Really what is your argument here.

You come to 1.0 to have an argument because we won't waste our time with 2.0. You should rejoice that those who aren't interested in the game stick to 1.0 land. You just want to argue, and since I happen to enjoy 1.0 I will argue with you even if I wasn't the one looking for the argument. You have it your way in 2.0 and 1.0. Finally happy?

New graphics? Do you really think we care about graphics

New build process? We've seen a few big changes to the build process here on classic over the years. The 2.0 build process may have some new attributes but with respec and no ALGs you can do whatever

Cost? Yes 2.0 costs more than classic and even classic is overpriced.

Team features? Nothing new and with the casual tactics and same old plays it is nothing to get excited about. The least they could have done was have play action, new plays etc..

Not sure what they were thinking about when looking at the big picture. Appealing to a broader audience and not the hardcore people seems to be the agenda but do they really expect the average person to drop $100+ making a few fantasy GLB2 players

Something different you haven't perfected over 10 seasons of stagnation? A much more fun schedule and league setup? Admittedly the second option would do wonders over here. That's all I got.

I agree. Like I said, there should have been a player builder 3.0. There should have been new SAs, new VAs, new Archetypes, faster "to plateau" times,

"Bort could have (and probably should have) done an expansion to GLB1 to keep it fresh. New SAs, new VAs, new archetypes, new formations, new sim options, quicker build times.... something to keep this game interesting for the player who likes building players, but who is bored."

Bort didn't do that. I think Bort got tired or jaded of this game, or decided that new features wouldn't bring in or keep customers. I don't know the financial reasons.

Re: GLB2:

I like the sim. I like that all of the SAs fire. I like how quick it is to change your AIs and strategy. I like some of the new aspects of building that go beyond the simple speed, strength, etc. of GLB1. I like the graphics (I know this isn't universal). There were people who really got into the ladder and the playoffs in GLB2. Some got butthurt due to bugs, some shrugged it off. The fact that it isn't a finished product gives me hope. The fact that GLB1 hasn't done anything interesting since season 25 makes it stale.

Yes, I love playing 100 random games a season and playing in a league named after the contents of a box of animal crackers.

I love the fact when hit with the truth you either change the subject or flat out lie.

Do you love playing in regional minor competitive 4? Maybe that would be more appealing as a league name!

Lots of people like the division setup and the ladder. You were never elite, so you wouldn't need to worry about climbing the ladder. People in the top 40 tuned in for the big ladder games in the latter half of the season when rankings started to stabalize. Not everyone cared, but 8/10 or more leagues in GLB1 are non-elite, non-pro, non-WL, non-PWG... most of GLB is made up of teams with 0 cares or 0 skills.

Why do you have such a huge butthurt for people who want to play GLB1??
If you want to play 2 go to 2 and play!
And stop your bitching!
