I would say religious strife is a primary cause of bloodshed throughout history. Even if man uses it as a way to gain support, and nothing else, its still responsible for the death and destruction of millions and millions of lives throughout the course of human history. This is true today, to some extent.

Let me guess, you stopped reading after that? What point are you even trying to make right here?

There, I went ahead and bolded the rest of the sentance. Hopefully that will combat your selective reading problem.

hmmmm i don't agree. You can raise children and never tell them killing is wrong, don't tell them its right either, guarantee you that if the world was raised this way, our murder rate would be a lot higher. The bible introduced the ideal that killing/stealing/adultery are all wrong. If it had never been said it was wrong then what would make it not right ? All im saying is that God our No god the bible is something this world needed, without it there would have been chaos.

I don't believe a single word in the bible but I don't murder people.

I understand and agree with you, and the comment you quoted was not directed at you what so ever. I just found it interesting that this shamwow idiot said he agreed with you, since it contradicted everything he has said in this thread.

You're really bad at double negatives

This would mean that you just got completely and utterly destroyed in this, and every other argument that you've ever joined, thought about joining, or will ever think about joining. This thread is done.. you lose. Bye.

He stated that Atheism causes less wars. I can't disagree with that.

I have pity for those who dont believe and cant see things in some order. People will say they dont believe and debunk Gods existence but its true how they will on their death bed pray for forgiveness and to be saved.I would rather follow behind God and believe in him then not and go through life .People that dont believe in God live a much different life and are always seeking something and seem bitter and hard to others. They will drive themselves insane to remove God from schools and public buildings and have others believe in their way of thinking.I guess its so much easier to just live life with no morals and order to themselves and others then it is to just live a good life trying to follow in God.I hope and pray that before its to late you can make a change in your way of thinking and follow a better life..and God..

Yes, because believing in God is the ONLY way to have morals
Makes a ton of sense

Though infinitely powerful, compassionate, and wise, god could think of no other way to reprieve humanity from punishment for the sin of being descended from a couple that he created but who had disobeyed him than to allow an innocent man (his son in fact) to be impaled through the wrists and feet and slowly suffer in agony. By acknowledging that this sadistic murder was a gift of divine mercy, people can earn eternal life. And if you fail to see the logic in this, your flesh will be seared by fire for all eternity.

Seems pretty clear to me.
