Not even. You're basing that assumption off the current conference standings. They're so f'd up now you really need to use Niboris'. The top tier Alpha teams would be middle of the pack Zeta at best.

Not really. Zeta has 7 teams that have no chance at the playoffs, and Alpha has about 5. It's not TOO bad.
The only real imbalance is that Blaze and Saigon are still int he same conf.

You're not thinking about this right. Balance between conferences and internal conference parity are two different things. They're actually quite opposite.
