We ran the same defense as against SaS. If anybody wants screen shots of which offensive plays we called, we'll provide whatever info our next opponent wants.

Guzzdude, let me or ncooke know what info you want/need from the last game and we'll gladly provide it.

A cheat sheet that lays out your play by play game plan and defensive coverage would be great.

Otherwise.. I think we have more than enough games to go off of. Maybe set your tactics to "run focus" and we'll call it even.

You assume too much of us...we're too lazy to switch them from run to pass, so you'll likely get your wish.

Truthfully I've never switched them either and really don't know how much of a difference it makes at this level.

DIRTY INC vs Atlantic City Surf - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1182324&mode=pbp

I would like the judges to look at this one.
ACS rush quarter was the 1st.
Dirty's was the 2nd.

2nd Quarter
12:14 2nd & G OPP 2 Night Train Layne rush up the middle (1 yd gain) [Big Hit diving tackle: Randy Wh!te] - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1182324&pbp_id=13607384
This TD should take points off the board right?
11:47 3rd & G OPP 1 ACS HB rush [TD] up the middle (1 yd gain) - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1182324&pbp_id=13607410

3rd Quarter
5:42 3rd & 2 OWN 16.5 Buster Hymen rush to the left (2.5 yd gain) [diving tackle: CharIes Haley] - This play gained enough for the 1st down and continue the posession. This renewed set of downs also pulled 2+ minutes off the clock and bettered field position by 20 yards before an eventual punt.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1182324&pbp_id=13611218

The extra 2 minutes could have been huge. ACS gave up 3 sacks in their last 2 posessions in the 4th Quarter and we might have been able to score.

REMATCH

I'll look into the game and see if we need judges, Mike. I understand the first part and yes the TD will be nullified. Even with the nullified TD it was 42-21 which would be 35-21 with 5:42 left in the 3rd. Not sure exactly what you mean by scored more with 2 minutes when it ended up AC Surf scoring once more and Dirty twice more. I also will not be judging this as I have part in it being a GM on AC Surf. I did check their SI packages and all was correct but one, he left the HB Blast I set at 100% with the passing plays at 100%. I can see how he missed it because it was in the middle of the pact of Passing plays and all the running plays were at the top. Looks like he was selecting a passing play and forgot to actually set a play because the basic play is always I set Blast . No excuse though adn I'll send out pms to judges unless you guys can reschedule a rematch ASAP

Sorry MikelFl. I forgot to take out 1 run play in a package and the damn play had to get called, right.

ACS is at the mercy of the judges on this one. take the TD away we still win. the 3rd Q run didnt result in a score but did gain a 1st down.

on one hand was the violation enough to cause harm, on the other it was a rules violation. I'll accept whatever the judges rule on this. Once again, I'm sorry for the screw up MikeFl.

After looking over the game, this is what I see...

I see 4 rushes outside ACS's normal rushing quarter in Q1...

There are two rushes early in Q2 that resulted in a TD. ACS was 2nd & G on the 2 when they started. Yes they rushed, but had they not, I give them at least a 50% chance to pass it in for a TD and nearly a 100% chance for a FG from that very short distance. On this, I would remove 4 points for the TD as it's highly likely that they would have come out with at least a FG from that short yardage.

In Q3, there was an isolated rush that kept a drive alive that gained only 20 more yards. Ya it ate up around 2 min of game time, but field position and time isn't something we can make judgment calls on, only if the play resulted in a score, which this did not. Therefore, I see no need to make any changes on this play as it was an isolated event in this quarter and the rules say we will forgive a few isolated rushes if they don't result in a score.

The last rush in Q4 did nothing for that drive since they didn't get the 1st down.

Thus my ruling would be ACS advances 45-35.

I PMed this to LE, but I may as well post here so everybody can see what I'm thinking:

Well, I'm not an official judge, but I'm happy to help.

The ACS TD in the second quarter should clearly be nullified; that was two consecutive rushes for the score. It's too bad, really, with 2nd & G from the 2, they probably could have gotten a TD or at least a FG. But they didn't so -7 to the ACS score.

Also, that was pretty early in the game, so the morale difference of a goal line stand versus a TD can't be ignored.

The 3rd & 2 conversion on a 2.5 yard rush is also a big deal. Not only in terms of morale, but also because of the drive extension. That drive took another 2:19 off the clock, and the field position was 20 yards further down field. DIRTY reached the 20 on their next (scoring) drive about 2 minutes before they scored, so that's a 4 minute time difference on top of the morale difference.

ACS also rushed close to the end of the game, which kept the clock running and burned another 49 seconds off of the clock. So that's about 5 minutes eaten up and a lot of morale swings on those various rushes. As close as that game was, there's no telling who would have won without the errant rushes. This was a close enough game that I think we should disqualify ACS, or allow a rematch if both teams agree and there's enough time for it.
