I disagree especially on you saying anyone got the better end of the deal, it's a little early to be making that claim. The Broncos are doing quite well with Neckbeard because he limits his mistakes. And Rex was streaky as shit but Cutler is a lot like Rex where he will have some great games and then some terrible games, however, Cutler will have more good games than Rex did.

Rex also didn't have the size, athletic ability or accuracy that Jay has. All Jay needs is more games under his belt. He's doing well with what he has in Chicago. Personally, this trade seems to have worked out for both teams.

Orton would not be having the kind of season he's having in Chicago. Bears would probably have a losing record with Orton.

Bad news, that half of Football still exists. That is Cutler, the dude is streaky as shit. He's definitely looking good now but don't get comfortable because in a game or two, he'll make you pull your hair out with another WTF?!?!?!?! performance. Still, where were you after that first game? Seems that Wise and Joe had the cahones to at least post...

I would have posted if I had some sort of intranets at that time. I had to go to the library and update my dots. <_<

Personally I am VERY happy with Cutler over Orton...

It is nice that Denver is on a roll...they were very fortunate in two wins...Orton will always be limited...but maybe he will work in Denvers system and it does not hurt to have a couple of the better lines in football...

Cutler is still young enough that the Bears have time to build around him...knew this season would be difficult...basically dealing with a rookie receiving corp...I do not think any of our receivers are better than a third receiver...

The Cutler extension was a nice signing and should give them some cap flexibility to do some things...

Cutler will be fine. For a guy with a bunch of Florida avatars to call a QB streaky and not be talking about Grossman just seems wrong.

Bears got the better end of the deal and the best QB they've had in a long, long time.

Broncos are saddled with Neckbeard the Pirate for the foreseeable future - their early win streak kills their chances at being able to pick up a true franchise QB in the 2010 draft, and Orton has looked decent enough that there will be a public sentiment that he is serviceable.

Chicago will be good enough that the picks they sent west won't do a whole lot beyond provide depth to the Broncos. (granted, the 2010 draft will be one of the best/deepest drafts in a long time due to the upcoming salary cap changes)

Getting rid of Turner in Chicago could improve Cutler there, assuming that Turner's replacement knows how to run an offense.

How is it that I was dead on so many times in one thread? I called the Broncos having a good season and a good defense as well as Cutler being streaky as shit and overrated. Oh, I am good.

because one season makes or breaks the trade? Kyle Orton is getting exposed by his limitations, Ayers hasnt shown up at all and Alphono Smith the same. The 3 that were traded for Cutler. Denver would have been good without this trade and its mainly on the defense.

3 picks last night were not on Cutler at all...only the first and last were

They were ok decisions, Olsen should have probably manned up vs. the Safety and that WR shouldn't have run into the ref but the QB still has to accept responsibility for it as every QB has ints that aren't his fault but when you have a bunch of them, maybe you should evaluate things with your WRs because you obviously are doing something wrong even if it isn't entirely your fault. It's a QB's job to make sure he is on the right page with a WR and to make sure he's not leading him into a bad thing(such as a referee), now when the ball is dropped by the WR and ends up an int, that's the WR's fault for sure.

yeah, the first and last were all on Jay. but the other 3 were pretty much just bad luck.

the hester slip
the ref picking hester and stopping him mid-route
and the kellen davis throw which in my eyes was pass interference

still doesnt change the fact that this trade isnt going to make or break in one season
